I saw the video of the game. He got hurt very late in the 4th quarter. He got turned receiving the ball and got his ankle, leg torqued a little bit. He got up, bent over checking his legs and waddled over to the bench. It did not look like a long term thing, but it is still discouraging given what just happened in SA earlier. Hopefully just a tweak. The Spurs will likely need him over the next few weeks.

Yeah, according to Project Spurs, it happened tonight I believe. Didn't know the Toro's were playing today. Hopefully nothing too serious on his end as well. Obviously, hoping more for Timmy to bounce back much sooner than expected.

And in both posts, you still come off like a dumbass. Strange.

Humor me and watch the replay, asshat.

First off, it was a stupid entry pass from #4 on the Austin squad (throwing to the post from the top of the key forcing Baynes to have to do a max vertical to catch it), and it backs up my first point; basically when you have stupid players doing stupid things like this in a stupid free for all game, injury risk becomes greater.

Now you combine that with the fact that in this god forsaken league you have a whole bunch of stupid disgruntled assholes who aren't ever going to be good enough to actually collect an nba paycheck and who probably resent the the hell out of fact that guys like Baynes get sent down for "conditioning" and proceed to make them look bad.

As for my 2nd point, Watch #34 for the Bakersfield team, as Baynes attempts to haul in that idiotic pass from the top of the key he subtly thrusts his knee/leg into the back Baynes' leg, effectively causing him to lose balance and land awkwardly. I'll even give you the exact time (1:55:08) where you can clearly see him thrust his leg.

Hey, I know you don't really watch the Spurs, but did you hear about Tim Duncan getting injured last night? And where in the fuck did you hear about Toros players "learning terrible habits"? The Toros run the same system as the Spurs, and are coached by coaches hired under Pop and RC. The only "terrible habit", is your takes on basketball tbh.

These guys are athletes, not children. They don't need to be coddled. Just as in baseball where someone goes down to the minors for a stint, the D-league is a good way to get a foreign player more accustomed to NBA rules and guidelines, and to learn the system. Duncan got hurt in an NBA game, same night. Every player on every team is hurt at some point. Hell, Bonner was hurt. All the Captain Hindsight shit is just that, shit. They get into the system, a system that's proven to be the best in the league, and they take their chances. You and I can get hurt at work, doesn't mean we shouldn't go to work. It is what it is, no decision or person is to blame. It's a game after all.

They need to get over themselves and just play guys that are going to play. I know I'm in the minority, but I have never liked and don't understand this over managing of minutes, resting games and d league send down / call-ups. I gome some credence to a certain extent but I just think Pop over does it. He especially keeps the training wheels on new guys for way to long.

Phil Jackson never pulled this stuff. He road his horses every year and they never seemed to get hurt outside of Shaq because he was fat and lazy. And if they did get hurt, then they got hurt because its part of the game and he moved with his coaching and let them play hurt if they felt they could go.

say what you want about Phils gravy training but dude ended up with 11 rings and owned Pop in the playoffs. I just have a feeling Pop wouldn't left MJ at the hotel with the flu, and sent Pippen home with his chronic bad back (tongue-in-cheek).

And I can't stand Phil Jackson!

Watch the game on YouTube and you won't see much play that's spur like. They just bring the ball down, pass the ball to a wing, who dribbles and dribbles in iso until he chucks the ball. Very poor use of the bigs in this game. Almost looks like the YMCA league.

Wow, that's a stupid thing to say on sooo many levels!! The Spurs play the purest form of basketball in the league and have done so since the time of the Admiral. They have the most diverse roster in the NBA so it's logical that they would draw fans from places where the only way to watch the game would be on the internet! (Youtube says :toast!) After watching the team lack a big with true toughness since days gone by, any Spurs fan would want to see what Baynes brought to the table! Before I found this site, I used to go to Express News to get my Spurs info! How did I do that, the internet! What a dumbass!!!
