Couldnt help but notice the similarities between the franchises.

Both teams won it all with defensive domination in the early 2000's and then had to reinvent themselves as offensive powerhouses but not focusing enough on d to be able to win a championship...

Ravens realize that and improved their d and together with the great o they had they were able to bring it home. Spurs realized the same after not being able to stop the thunder and here they are back to a top 5 def team as well as off. Lets hope it translates into the same in the playoffs.

They also both have strong, underrated, "boring" leaders like ed reed and flaco. Lewis has a controversial past, but leaving that on the side he sounds like drob lately...

hopefully it ends up the same way for us as it did for them!

No. Have the Spurs win another title this year, have a new owner come in and buy the team, have him fire Gregg Popovich by packing up his office and putting the boxes outside. Have him fine Tony Parker every day, forcing him into early retirement to go make movies. Have the Spurs be bad for about 30 years, then hire one of their most beloved players as the GM, let the team start to show signs of getting good for the first time since he purchased the team, then have the owner move them to another city without any warning, despite a rabid fanbase and top-of-the-league ticket sales.

The Patriots are the Spurs of the NFL. Everyone knows that.

When I see the emphasis Pop is putting on keeping his player healty, I'm not sure he would really like to see Spurs being compared to a NFL team, even the best one.

NO FUCK NO

The Spurs are all class. The Ravens are a chippy bunch of assholes who pick fights for no fucking reason and rally around some dude who killed two people and should be behind bars.

Try again.

Baltimore fans also bitch and cry about the Colts leaving thirty years ago yet have no particular problem with ripping the Browns out of Cleveland and renaming them for their own. Fuck the town, fuck the players, fuck the fans.

If the Niners had won, the thread would've been titled "Niners remind me of Spurs"

Ray Lewis didnt murder anyone. He watched his buddies mirder someone, covered it up for them, then later ratted them out and paid off the victim's family to stay quiet.

That's accessory to murder, obstruction of justice, and being a snitch

Who's murderer on Spurs?
Tony Parker. Have you seen what he's done to the rest of the NBA's defenses this season? :wow

On a more serious note... SJ.

They are neither the Patriots, nor the Ravens.
The spurs have more class then the Pats and don't have an outspoken leader like Ray Lewis.
The spurs are just.. The spurs... and im fine with that.
I'm a ravens fan as well, but these two are not the same.. They're built quite different.
