His wife divorced him and won full custody of his kids, and then the judge called him a terrible parent. Now he needs to be free of alcohol for 18 mos or he's never gonna see his kids again.

Feel terrible for AI, but he made his own grave. Time to lay on it, Iverson.

dude ain't that financially broke as people think he is tbh. he still has the money and it's not like playing in NBA for minimum wage will help increase his bank deposit to a significant degree

I really for bad for AI...he seems like he has a good heart....and he tried to take care of his homies...he just didn't do it right....but he's a tortured soul...he's been wronged his whole life...as a kid he witnessed about 10 of his friends gunned down and killed on the basketball court he managed to run and evade the shooters...but he had to witness all his friends being murdered because the gun man was looking for one guy.

When he played for the sixers the owners (Pat Croce) brother was caught by cameras going into the locker room and stealing thousands of dollars from AI's locker...AI had complained several times that his money was missing and no one beleived him until Billy King put cameras in the locker room to catch Croce's brother...AI refused to press charges...

Amongst the many other tragedies he's had to endure...watching his dad stab someone and go to prison...seeing his best friend shot in a bar over who's the better NBA shooting guard he's been through a lot...

Lastly I posted this several days ago...but the NBA refs admitted through Tim Donoughy (watch the CBS report) that there's was a league wide conspiracy to cheat against AI that went all the way to the top because they didn't like him...poor guy
