View Full Version : Is there anyway we could add Durant?

Is there anyway we could make a run for Kevin Durant before the trade deadline? I heard on ESPN that Westbrook stormed off the court a few games ago, and I've seen him and Durant argue and not get along on the sidelines. I think getting Durant would put us over the top.

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=aatvqcl

OKC gets Jackson's expiring contract and could possibly make a run for a top-tier free agent this summer with $10 million dollars coming off the books, and it would solve their backup point guard situation by getting two young guards since they lost Eric Maynor.

This has got to be the biggest joke I've ever seen on ST, tbh.

What makes you think OKC would just bend over and take it up the ass from us?

They get better defensively and add outside shooting.

I would prefer LeBron but if we have to settle for Durant, that's ok. I'd be careful trading Bonner though, his spreading of the floor is vital in the playoffs.

eh, for Durant, the only guys I wouldn't give up are Parker, Duncan, and Ginobili. They can take Kwahi (as much as it breaks my heart), but Durant is just the complete player (maybe not as physical as Kwahi down low).

GNSF make me laugh. Sam Presti does it the Spurs way. Why would he ever do that trade?

It's should be value for value and that crap link isn't it.

Plus that many players means that OKC has to dump other players. Spurs have to take on other FA's.

I'm a GNSF, And even I'm face palming to this.

I mean, Imagine OKC's front office hearing this offer and thinking "JACKSON?!?! B-B-B-BONNER?? COJO?? NAAAAAUUUNNDOOOOHHH!!!??? Screw Kevin Durant! This is an opportunity we just can't deny!!! With this deal, we will gain SO MUCH cap-space!! So much that in Free-Agency, we might be able to pick up a superstar. Someone along the lines of Kevin Durant. Imagine having that kind of Star Power!!"

spurraider21

CoJo is an NBDL all star. Thats all the starpower they need. Plus he's cheaper than Durant. No brainer

I'm sure someone has already come up with this, but how about Patty, Blair and Bill Land for that Lebron James guy? The Heat would get someone "from the land down under," a better TV announcer, and I'm sure Blair would love all the big-assed girls on South Beach!? We'd have that Lebron James guy and Durant!! Dammit it was RIGHT BEFORE MY EYES!!

You may also try trading for GASOL i heard he doesn't want to come off the bench and he doesn't fit the D'antoni SSOL system... SPURS will have their new twin tower in DUNCAN/GASOL (THIS IS BETTER THAN THE DUNCAN/GARNET THAT OTHERS ARE PURSUING). We can trade bonner/splitter/jackson and some fillers... HAHAH!!!

Timvp, are you going to let the quality of this site go down the drain like this?

This thread needs to be deleted and the user banned from starting threads.

Half of this front page is filled with ridiculous threads like this. The level has gone down the toilet lately. It's almost unreadable around here. What happened to raising the bar?

Right now the bar is so low, that most of the good posters must have tripped over it and are not bothering to post here much anymore.

no matter how many zeros are put in front of the odd of this it is not enough....how often do you get a true superstar excited about playing in Oklahoma City and getting better each year, even if his post game interview wear belongs in a carnival parade.

Good point. They need post players.

Does Bonner + Blair for Lebron work? Maybe we could toss in Baynes if they throw in a 1st rounder too.

My wife has a friend whose husband's frat brother used to date a woman who knows a guy who is Facebook friends with a woman who knows a woman who works in the Thunder front office. I have it on that good authority that there is, in fact, a way the Spurs could add Durant. I can't divulge the details, but suffice to say that I have heard that the answer to the OP's question is: Yes.
