I'm sure the Dunk contest has already tried to pester Lebron ad nauseam about participating. Why would he try to weasel his way in after they've already announced candidates?

I don't know why LeBron would ever participate in the Dunk Contest. It's a no-win situation for him. Plus he can't drink Kristal that night, at least not until afterward.

Not sure about that...with the whole new (and in my opinion, retarded) fan voting for the DC, Lebron would probably win on popularity alone as long as he came out and brought something mildly-interesting.

This would be the stupidest year ever for him to compete, as there is no way he could ever hang with James White. He'd need the Durant treatment from the judges to have any chance.
