Tbh, all you can look to for that kind of thinking is the 2003 playoffs and Game 6 of last year. I'm convinced Jack is coasting.

All I need to look to is what Jackson has been doing lately with his 3pt shot.

If the Spurs want to be champs, they need to make a trade and get someone.
If they dont want to be champs, then this is the perfect team for a good playoff run.

i'm a big jax fan but common , the guy can't play much anymore, last hope is to make an "Horry" put him on ice until playoff time and prey he ll be rejuvanated

It's not that, it's the idiots claiming "Don't trust a Jack 3" when he's a proven playoff performer. I just think it's a premature comment to make.

Green is plain stupid, he can't do shit except hit threes. Neal and Blair are all that bad. Jax is old and hasn't the bball iq to handle his physical decadence. Mills, De Colo are useless. The Spurs won't go anywhere with this bunch of scrubs. Get rid of 'em all.

timvp
02-08-2013, 09:53 PM
Can't shed too many tears about this. The Spurs are beyond due for a loss considering they've played shorthanded for quite a while now. The Pistons are a bad matchup to begin with since they have like five perimeter players who can drive to the hoop and the Spurs aren't great at defending drivers. Add in no Duncan to protect the hoop (and deal with Monroe) and add the Pistons being hot from the perimeter and you have a standard loss.

Ho well.

The Pistons are better than I thought. I saw them in the exhibition game against Twolves in Canada and I thought man these guys are terrible. Some good young talent. They are 5th in the fricken league in rebounding!

Not gonna complain losing to a good team, but letting the Pistons drop their season high in points on us? That's pretty terrible.

Most annoying is Splitters minutes. If Tim isn't playing, there's no reason for him to be under 30 minutes. Bonner 19 minutes, 1 rebound when we get hammered 49-33 on the boards is embarrassing.

Meh..trap game just like RuffnReadyOzStyle predicted. Although for the 50,000th time I'm done watching Blair on this team. Bonner at times I can stand because he'l hit a 3 or two. Green needs to re-think his defensive strategies. Because he gets caught ball watching waaay too much and loses his man for an open 3 over and over again. Tonight he was burned badly by Knight And Stuckey. As far as Jack is concerned, yeah his 3 point shot is off. But you idiots who hate on him here ignore his solid D, rebounding and his play making abilities. When he posted up in the low block he had some pretty damn good plays. He brings intangibles and toughness to this team that would be hard to replace..

Really? You can read that from a predictable loss in Detroit without Timmy and Manu playing. Okay then.

I'm not disagreeing the we need to make a trade, but this game has little ot do with it.

Im not saying this only based on this game. I dont think that even with Manu and Tim the Spurs have what it takes to win it all.
In fact I think the Spurs could have win this game, which doesnt make a difference.
We dont have what it takes to bet OKC or MIA in 7. Their best players can play 48 minutes in all 7 games, ours cant, so we need a better bench, its obvious to me.
Lets see what happens...hopefully not trading Splitter for another big with almost the same performance.

Only 24 posts and you are already more levelheaded than others on here.

I had an old account that I forgot the password and email for. Also I have been in love with this team since early 90`s because of DRob. I do not post but read the board mostly because of the drama I want to avoid. I do chime in on days like today because of well the drama. I have come to understand how this team works and the schemes of it all. The odds of them winning a championship is little and yes crushed when they demonstrate they are capable. Understand how relevant they have been over such a long time. I don`t know what I appreciate more...Of course a championship but the Spurs are a beautiful sports team to be a fan of.
