tbh, this was an expected loss... but as DD said, they needed to go 3-1 in the last 4 and could only muster 2-2... the Boston loss was a game they needed to win and they got run out of the building...
Could've easily been 1-3 if the Bobcats don't choke...

Honestly, where would the Lakers be right now if they hadn't fired Potato Head 6 games into the season? He had them in the playoffs last year, so you gotta figure they'd be in the hunt.....
Better. Mike Brown had solid plans on using Dwight. MDA has no clue how to utilize him. Also Brown is a players coach. MDA is best known to throw his team under the bus.

If things remain as they are, they will be 3 games out of a playoff spot. Assuming they'll need to have 5 more wins than losses at the end of the year (that's optimistic) to get the 8th seed, they'll have to go 14-6 to close it out to have a realistic shot at a playoff birth.

Lebron cannot hold Kobe 1 on 1...not even at 34 almost 35 yrs old and that's a gotdam shame

I guess you didn't watch the first half when they put Lebron on Kobe 1 on 1....sure Lebron's teams have the edge..but when Lebron takes the Kobe challenge it's amazing that for as big as Lebron is - Kobe takes him right to block and scores on him with ease...how in the fuck is Kobe backing Lebron down with ease...this notion that Lebron is an all world defender is hilarious.... he cannot stop a 34 yr old Kobe 1 on 1 :lol...and don't get me started on Wade...Wade had a good game but he did absolutely NOTHING when Kobe was on him..in fact most of Kobe's points came when Wade or Lebron was guarding him 1 on 1...Kobe tore them niggas up in iso's...like I said if Kobe was in his prime with a team...2002 Lakers for example these niggas in Miami yall pining over would be relagated to a footnote in history..similiar to Duncan's career as compared to Kobe's when it's all said and done...

Funny how you ignore all the other times Bron bottles Kirby up, as evidenced by his career .411 shooting percentage against him.
He was in his "prime" with a "team" against Lebron. Already forgetting about Kobe's stacked '08, '09, '10 teams that often faced Lebron's Cavs, whose second best player was either Big Z or M:lol Williams?
And Lebron still took that boy to the woodshed.
Oh, and until Kobe captures that 3rd Finals MVP, Duncan's career will never be considered a footnote in NBA history, especially compared to Kobe's career.
And I know you want him to win that 3rd Finals MVP something bad, don't ya? It's still our ultimate trump card to 5>4.

Lebron scores most of his points on players other than Kobe...even in today's game when Kobe is guarding him 1 on 1 he usually misses but most of the time he passes the ball when Kobe's is personally guarding him..just like he did today...Wade got torched by Kobe today when he was guarding him but at least he's not afraid to challenge Kobe 1 on 1 like Lebron is....and again 08-10 Kobe is NOT a prime Kobe..tell me mid..when are players typically considered prime. ;-)

'08 to '10 is definitely prime/peak Kobe. Sure, it's not his athletic prime, but he was never a better basketball player during those years. It's no surprise that Kobe posted his best overall playoff numbers from '08 through '10. His '09 run was one of the more impressive runs of the past decade, much better than anything he did in the early 00s, even '01. He was phenomenal during that time period, and simply a better OVERALL player than the guy who was scoring 81 and playing alongside Shaq.

Basketball prime is not age related. Many, many, many players become better as they age. With someone like Dwight Howard, you can definitely relate his physical prime to his basketball prime, but this isn't the case with a player like Kobe.
And if your hero was involved in this conversation, he'd laugh you out of the room for suggesting that athletic prime=basketball prime.
Burden of proof is on you, monkey. Prove to me Kobe was better at ages 22-24 than he was at ages 28-31. Show me the better playoff stats he posted when he was 22-24 (you can't). Show me the MVP he won at 22-24 (you can't). Show me the Finals MVPs he won at 22-24 (you can't).

one crucial fact that evades your intellect is that the years you claim to be Kobe's prime when Lebron further advanced his h2h match-up against Kobe...Kobe won another b 2 b..but Lebron did win the h2h :lol
And not 1 Finals or regular season MVP. Pretty shitty prime.

That said, if your argument is concerned about when his "athletic prime" was, I won't argue with you that it was during the 1st 3 peat. But that wasn't his "basketball prime," an entirely different concept.

Simply question, Kool.
If Kobe's basketball prime was during the first 3 peat, then why did he become an even better scorer after age 25?

No, he wasn't..
He made a post-up fadeaway in the middle, missed a post-up fadeaway from the left wing, and after putting a nice move on Lebron on the right wing, he drove and bricked a shot over Lebron and the help defenders..
It's irrelevant anyways, tbh..

Hey my idiot friend...:lmao no matter how you slice it...even if you want to play semantics with the word prime...I'm still shitting all over you...and generously....why? because ultimately if I agree that 08-10 is Kobe's basketball prime it means Lebron's h2h match-up is relegated to footnote status...why again?
because Kobe went to the finals 3 yrs in a row while Lebron refused to show up...even when Nike put out all those cartoon commercials out of Kobe and Lebron encouraging Lebron to make it..he left Kobe hanging...so mid you have a self defeating argument...while Kobe was winning b2b titles Lebron was winning b2b MVP's....
again back to my original point...when trying to guard Kobe one on one regardless of Prime or at 34 Lebron cannot stay in front of Kobe...it's pretty amazing that he cannot stay in front of a 34 yr old Kobe...
again mid..I'm just glad the world is talking about Kobe and Lebron..and not that TOSB in SA...:hat

This was a fun game despite the constant coasting from Miami. Lebron is raping everyone, so Metta should be cut some slack. The lob from Cole to James was nice. The Lakers should still make the playoffs. They won't go anywhere, but I see them getting in, tbh.

Nice try. But teams advancing to the Finals are, well, a team accomplishment. The facts of the matter are that Lebron bested Kobe statistically during Kobe's prime years. It's documented in black-and-white and plain as day, and no amount of deflecting and side-stepping and bringing up 5 rings can change that hurtful fact for you.
Lebron outscores Kobe. Out rebounds him. Averages more assists. More blocks. More steals. And shoots a better percentage.
And again, nothing you can say or do will change those very painful facts.

naaah it's not painful because unlike you...I recognize Lebron's total accomplishments as nothing but empty stats in post war era... (i.e playing in the east)..
but if that makes you feel better to think that..then I can only imagine what
Kobe 5

Fail again.
Remember, I was clearly referring to when "Kobe had a team" from '08 to '10, and even then, Lebron still got the better of him. To be fair, Lebron hasn't demolished him, but has outperformed him consistently.
And you know what, that's nothing to be ashamed of. Lebron is the best player we've seen since Jordan, so it's expected he would outplay one of Michael's many imitators (Kobe).

:lol but if your premise is based off his scoring ability (remember you asked the specific question on why he became a better scorer) why would you exclude 2006 - 07 when he averaged the most points of his career that season 32.7 or so...you'd exclude that season and focus on his titles seasons to make a point about a guy (Lebron) who had better stats but didn't win the title those years...:lmao mid in 5 words....you are a gotdam Moron :lol

Said before Lebron won the title.
And I wouldn't trust Jordan's opinion on talent. Guy is about the worst GM in history and drafted Kwame Brown number 1.
World hasn't ended yet for you, though. Finals MVP count is still Kobe 2, James 1. You can still sleep peacefully.

I never consciously excluded them. I only did so because I thought you were interested in comparing the two players when "they each had a team" (your words). Granted, Lebron's Cavs teams in 06 and 07 were about as awful as the Smush/Kwame era Lakers, so we can compare them in those seasons, as well.
Guess what?
Lebron still outplayed him the majority of the time.
And as for my question, the year Kobe averaged the most points of his career came after his so-called prime per your definition. So I win there, too.
End of the day, Kool, Lebron outperformed a prime Kobe in their head-to-head matchups, and nobody but the most retarded would consider Kobe's basketball prime the early 00s. Of course you consider those years Kobe's peak since it was a time Lebron wasn't in the league, and you can comfort yourself by saying, "Well, Lebron never had to face a prime Kobe."

^ scratch that mid we judge greatness by leading your teams to back to back rings..if you cannot defend your title at least one time successfully it pretty renders them all meaningless...it means they were a fluke if you cannot repeat...that's why if Lebron repeats this year...he will shit all over Duncan's legacy :downspin:

Good game lakers could of easily won this one if they knew how to fucken rebound a defensive rebound they were playing really good d but just could not come up with a defensive rebound. either way game was pretty fun to watch was close all game. Bron is a fucken beast dont know who could stop him. IMO Heat easily the best pereimeter defensive team.
