I was reading a thread someplace that hinted SJ isnt around because of a possible trade and he isnt taking it well. Anyone hear why hes not around?

WTF is Alex Thomas? Would rather have Pop host the mixtape TBH.. he'd only have to record 4-5 words tops to host the entire 30 song mixtape.

How about this -- Spurs trade Jack (and draft picks) for Josh Smith.

Atl waives Jack.

Spurs reacquire Jack off waivers for the playoffs.

No idea whether this could work under NBA rules . . . (Pretty sure it wouldn't.)

No idea whether Atlanta would do this . . . (Pretty sure they wouldn't.)

But conceptually, at least, similar deals have worked for the Spurs in the past.

i believe the NBA added a rule where you have to wait 1 calendar year before signing a player you trade.

this was in response to teams abusing that system, most recently with Cavs trading Ilgauskas then resigning him. The spurs did this before as well, IIRC with brent barry
