The deal would be Marbury for Hakim Warrick, Jason Williams, and Stromile Swift.

Sounds like a pretty good deal for both sides. Memphis is basically just giving up Hakeem. Thery're dumping William whose contract they want to get rid of and picking up Marbury who they could use since they may lose Watson their othr PG anyways. They lose Swift as an unrestricted FA one way or the other.

For NY they seem to want to dump Marbury and have the hots for Swift. They just have to swallow Williams deal and they get a potetnial nice piece inWarick. not sure why The Grizz would throw in Warrick .

I think the Grizzlies could still get past the first round with Marbury. They will still have Gasol, Mike Miller, maybe Lorenzon Wright, and Bonzi Wells. Pretty good squad. Marbury can't be the #1 player on his team. He has to be 2 or 3.

Marbury, Gasol, Miller, Wright, Wells, Watson, Cardinal, Battier etc isn't a bad roster.

Trade could probably work both ways, I'd like to see it happen just for the sake of change. Although as a Spurs fan, the less I see of Marbury the better considering how he usually goes against the Spurs.

I like this deal a lot for NY... it clears out Marbury's salary and gives NY a shot at Lebron when his rookie deal is up. Plus it adds more young pieces to the puzzle. Buy out Houston and the Knicks actually emerge from luxury tax hell.
