Does anyone have any video or photos of Pop in his playing days (or since then just playing around?) I'd be interested to see what he was like back then...

Sorry if this has been asked before.

Pop didn't play Pro Basketball at all back in the day. Pop was at Air Force Academy. Pop was captain of The Armed Forces Team that ended up winning the AAU title during his time at Air Force and his closest brush with high level hoops as a player was that he was the last person the be cut for that 1972 USA Basketball team that ended up losing to the USSR.

I know he never went pro but I thought there still might be some photos and stuff?

I think the only photos I remember seeing of him were Team Photos. Think 70's and everyone wore Chuck Taylor's Converse. Pop's hair was Dark Brown.

The only reason why Pop was cut from that Olympic team is because Russia was afraid he was a spy.

Remember the clip of EJ that Kenny and Barkley dog him out with every once in a while on the show? The one with the shorty shorts? It would probably be that hideous.

Be careful what you wish for. Someone may actually find something.

Very nice to see Pop as he was. Interesting he came from Indiana which was all about the basics, square the shoulders, move the feet, watch the hips. etc.

Interesting that 21 was one of his jersey numbers.

Pop the coach would have given Pop the player a 10 years/200 million contract
