They interviewed Manu this morning on Cold Pizza, and the headline/title of that part of the show was "Spurs Add Another Argentine."

I only saw the 2nd half on the interview so I didn't know what was said earlier, and they were talking about Scola coming to the Spurs. My question is, did they mean that Scola is coming over for sure or was it something else?

I'm pretty sure it's Scola. Oberto would be the only other possibility.

I think that the question is if it has been comfirmed that Scola is coming and not neceserily if it is someone else? anyone know the answer?

I think the ColdPizza chick told Manu that the Spurs were getting Scola for sure, and they asked him how he could contribute to the team.

That's what I was trying to ask, I knew it was Scola, I jsut wasn't sure if they are positive that he is a Spur.

looked at espn online and tv, didn't have any word about any signings or such. did get a chance to watch competitive scrabble, which was actually kinda interesting.

I would imagine if Skip Bayless was on Cold Pizza, that it was conjecture and projection. Perhaps the headline had a question mark...or should have had one, i.e. "Spurs Add Another Argentine?"

Bayless has become the biggest Spurs homer of all media members since the Spurs beat Denver (or maybe a little after that) in the playoffs.

BTW, Pop and Manu are in Manu's home city of Bahia Blanca today.

Seeing him in that big ass coat makes me want to cry. It's a million degrees here! I've got to start spending my summers in a cooler place.

And Pop was only wearing the championship t-shirt. :lol

Right now, Pop is talking with the press in the court where Manu started playing.

It's in the low 50s (low of 48) today in Bahia Blanca according to the newspaper there.

Today a reporter asked Pop about Scola and he said that Scola is the main priority for this summer.

I am very, very excited about Scola. I loved his energy and game when I saw him in the Olympics. It'll almost be like have 2 Manu's on the team! :spins

I think that Scola played great with both his national team and with Tau, but he's got an awful lot of hype around him coming to the NBA and we have to be realistic that it may take him a minute to ease into it. So many are calling him "another Manu" - that's crazy pressure!! I don't recall hearing anyone expecting Delfino or Nocioni to be "another Manu". I think we should just expect Scola to bring the same energy that we've seen from him and hope his game translates well with the Spurs.
