Football schedule and ticket sales dates
This past football season we experienced tremendous growth in our football season
ticket sales, finishing the year with over 7,000 season tickets sold. This
spring and summer we are hoping to capitalize on the excitement of our FBS football
program and our move to the Sun Belt Conference to continue and see that it
grows. With Rivals.com naming Texas State as having the best recruiting class in the Sun Belt, the future is bright
for the Bobcats. Based on Rivals.com average star rating of 2.36 stars we had the second best recruiting
class of the non-BCS conferences.
Texas State football's 2013 schedule was recently released. We had been anticipating
the departure announcement of Florida Atlantic and Middle Tennessee State from
the Sun Belt, which in turn required us to find and fill another non-conference
date with the Idaho Vandals. This is a home and home agreement, with Idaho returning in 2014 to San Marcos.
For

week to assist you with the renewal process.

2013 Tailgating
Tailgating plans for the 2013 football season are currently being reviewed and decided
upon. As always, the challenge to accommodate and put together a plan that
benefits our students, donors and fans is at the top of our priority list. It
is our goal to continue to expand our Kid's Fun Zone and determine an overall
tailgating setup that will enhance our game day experience and encourage more
fans and students to attend our games.
We will continue to work with Student Affairs and the Associated Student
Government to identify areas and ideas to improve our tailgate atmosphere.
Bobcat Club/ "T" Association Pavilion Project
We are in the final stages of planning and designing a new home for the Bobcat
Club and "T" Association on football game days.
Located in the south end between the End Zone Complex and the West Side
Complex will be a new state of the art open air pavilion to accommodate both
groups. The area will be used for pre-game Bobcat Club events and halftime "T"
Association events. We are currently working
with GSC Architects in Austin to finalize the design with hopes of awarding a
contractor the project this spring for completion before our first 2013 home
football game. Renderings will be released publicly soon!
WAC Basketball Tournament in Las Vegas-Spring Break Deal
Looking for a get way this spring break? Take advantage of our one and only WAC Basketball Conference Tournament held March 12th- 15th at the Orleans Hotel and Casino. Tickets are available for
all men's and women's games at the Bobcat Ticket office. A special rate of $40 for Monday-Thursday and

Facility Work
As always, we are placing a high priority on our facilities. So much goes on behind the scenes, but we
wanted to inform you of several facility projects we are currently working on
that you might not see if you are just visiting campus. We recently installed our old football video
board at our baseball field. This will
give baseball a much larger video board for their games. This past August, we removed the previous
baseball video board and moved it to our soccer facility. We are very pleased that we have been able to
upgrade both facilities with boards that fit very well in each complex. We also completed a brand new outfield fence
and batter's eye for the baseball field.
All new projects looked great during opening weekend!
Thanks to a generous donation and lead gift from Jim and Carol West, work has started
on a golf practice facility for the Bobcat Men's and Women's golf teams. The new facility will be located at the Plum
Creek Golf Course in Kyle, Texas. This
will be a shared facility for both programs that will feature a driving range,
short game practice area and a practice putting green.
We are also making other improvements to our facilities including a new roof at
our indoor tennis courts, renovation of the weight room in the Jowers Center
and improvements to our new track and field facility ranging from upgrading our
pole vault run to replacing wind damaged throwing cages.
Bowl Teams on 2013 Schedule
Look out in 2013 as the Bobcat Football team will face at least 5 teams who
participated in bowl games this past season.
Texas Tech, Western Kentucky, Louisiana-Monroe, Louisiana-Lafayette and
Arkansas State all participated in post season play going a combined 3-2. Texas Tech defeated Minnesota in the Meineke
Car Care Bowl of Texas, Western Kentucky lost to Central Michigan in the Little
Caesars Bowl, Louisiana-Monroe lost to Ohio University in the AdvoCare V100
Independence Bowl, Louisiana-Lafayette defeated East Carolina in the R+L
Carriers New Orleans Bowl, and Arkansas State defeated Kent State in the
GODADDY.com Bowl.
Bobcat Club
The conclusion of 2012 marks another record-breaking year for the Bobcat Club. The fundraising arm of the athletic department brought in $765,000 in donations from more than 1200 donors, all in
support of the student-athlete scholarship fund. This is an increase of 52% from the 2011
campaign, and an increase of 403% over the past four years.
Bobcat Bonanza, the department's annual fundraising event held each spring, was also a
success bringing in $151,000, an increase of 500% since 2009. In total, the Bobcat Club raised over
$900,000 in support of the university's 410 student-athletes.
"The growth of the Bobcat Club over the last few years has been a key contributor to
the overall growth of the athletic department at Texas State," said Dr. Larry
Teis, the Director of Athletics. "I would like to thank our alumni and fans for their increased support, and for
helping to make an impact in the lives of our student-athletes. When our
academic progress rate is released in April, you will see how the Bobcat Club
has really helped our academic mission."
Additionally, through the Gift-In-Kind program, endowment support, club seats, suites,
restricted sport giving and capital gifts, the department raised a total of
$4,112,512 in 2012-13.
"Over the past four years we have seen tremendous growth of our donor base and we need to continue to encourage theculture of giving back to Texas State," said Travis Comer, Associate Athletics
Director. "Our goal is to continue to be aggressive statewide in order to build our donor base to 2,000 donors and raise
over $1.2 million in scholarship support for our student-athletes. With the
growing support, enthusiasm and passion of our fans, we believe this is a
realistic target to achieve."
In an effort to continue this momentum, the Bobcat Club will be announcing some
exciting new initiatives in early 2013, including the unveiling of its new
Priority Points program as well as the "Bring a Bobcat" campaign.
Bonanza Sneak Peak
The Bobcat Club is making plans for our 25th Annual Bobcat Bonanza! This is our athletic department's biggest
annual fundraising event in support of the student-athlete scholarship fund. To celebrate 25 years of Bonanza,
we are hoping to make this year's event our biggest and best yet. We are planning on Saturday, March 23rd, 2013
as the date for this year's Bonanza which will include a golf tournament, live
and silent auction as well as a football scrimmage at Bobcat Stadium.
Some of the items we expect to have at this event for fans to bid on include:
vacation packages and time shares, spa and boutique packages, airline vouchers,
jewelry, autographed memorabilia, and tickets to concerts and athletic events.
Bobcat Bonanza continues to be a great fundraiser to help support scholarships and has
grown from a $28,000 fundraiser in 2009 to over $145,000 last year. This event continues to be an event where 450
Bobcats gather to share in the excitement and passion of Texas State Athletics.
Baseball and Softball Ticket Sales smashing records!
2013 Baseball and Softball season ticket sales have gotten off to a great start,
with both sports experiencing record ticket sales. Currently all reserved seats in Sections E
and F are all sold out, with very few reserved seats remaining in section G for
baseball. Overall season tickets for baseball have already increased 19% above
our all time high season ticket sales.
The new support was evident this past weekend as we had over 1600 fans
attend each game during the CenturyLink Bobcat Invitational.
Our softball sales have increased over 140% from the previous season, which is 26%
above our all time high season ticket sales.
We are also very excited to announce that we are updating our new ticket office at
the North End Zone with an internal call center for athletics. We believe this is a very important step in
having the processes and tools in place to continue to expand and grow our fan
base and to see the results in all of our sports that we are seeing in baseball
and softball this season.

2013 Tailgating
Tailgating plans for the 2013 football season are currently being reviewed and decided
upon. As always, the challenge to accommodate and put together a plan that
benefits our students, donors and fans is at the top of our priority list. It
is our goal to continue to expand our Kid's Fun Zone and determine an overall
tailgating setup that will enhance our game day experience and encourage more
fans and students to attend our games.
We will continue to work with Student Affairs and the Associated Student
Government to identify areas and ideas to improve our tailgate atmosphere.
Bobcat Club/ "T" Association Pavilion Project
We are in the final stages of planning and designing a new home for the Bobcat
Club and "T" Association on football game days.
Located in the south end between the End Zone Complex and the West Side
Complex will be a new state of the art open air pavilion to accommodate both
groups. The area will be used for pre-game Bobcat Club events and halftime "T"
Association events. We are currently working
with GSC Architects in Austin to finalize the design with hopes of awarding a
contractor the project this spring for completion before our first 2013 home
football game. Renderings will be released publicly soon!
WAC Basketball Tournament in Las Vegas-Spring Break Deal

Facility Work
As always, we are placing a high priority on our facilities. So much goes on behind the scenes, but we
wanted to inform you of several facility projects we are currently working on
that you might not see if you are just visiting campus. We recently installed our old football video
board at our baseball field. This will
give baseball a much larger video board for their games. This past August, we removed the previous
baseball video board and moved it to our soccer facility. We are very pleased that we have been able to
upgrade both facilities with boards that fit very well in each complex. We also completed a brand new outfield fence
and batter's eye for the baseball field.
All new projects looked great during opening weekend!
Thanks to a generous donation and lead gift from Jim and Carol West, work has started
on a golf practice facility for the Bobcat Men's and Women's golf teams. The new facility will be located at the Plum
Creek Golf Course in Kyle, Texas. This
will be a shared facility for both programs that will feature a driving range,
short game practice area and a practice putting green.
We are also making other improvements to our facilities including a new roof at
our indoor tennis courts, renovation of the weight room in the Jowers Center
and improvements to our new track and field facility ranging from upgrading our
pole vault run to replacing wind damaged throwing cages.
Bowl Teams on 2013 Schedule
Look out in 2013 as the Bobcat Football team will face at least 5 teams who
participated in bowl games this past season.
Texas Tech, Western Kentucky, Louisiana-Monroe, Louisiana-Lafayette and
Arkansas State all participated in post season play going a combined 3-2. Texas Tech defeated Minnesota in the Meineke
Car Care Bowl of Texas, Western Kentucky lost to Central Michigan in the Little
Caesars Bowl, Louisiana-Monroe lost to Ohio University in the AdvoCare V100
Independence Bowl, Louisiana-Lafayette defeated East Carolina in the R+L
Carriers New Orleans Bowl, and Arkansas State defeated Kent State in the
GODADDY.com Bowl.
Bobcat Club
The conclusion of 2012 marks another record-breaking year for the Bobcat Club. The fundraising arm of the athletic department brought in $765,000 in donations from more than 1200 donors, all in
support of the student-athlete scholarship fund. This is an increase of 52% from the 2011
campaign, and an increase of 403% over the past four years.
Bobcat Bonanza, the department's annual fundraising event held each spring, was also a
success bringing in $151,000, an increase of 500% since 2009. In total, the Bobcat Club raised over
$900,000 in support of the university's 410 student-athletes.
"The growth of the Bobcat Club over the last few years has been a key contributor to
the overall growth of the athletic department at Texas State," said Dr. Larry
Teis, the Director of Athletics. "I would like to thank our alumni and fans for their increased support, and for
helping to make an impact in the lives of our student-athletes. When our
academic progress rate is released in April, you will see how the Bobcat Club
has really helped our academic mission."
Additionally, through the Gift-In-Kind program, endowment support, club seats, suites,
restricted sport giving and capital gifts, the department raised a total of
$4,112,512 in 2012-13.
"Over the past four years we have seen tremendous growth of our donor base and we need to continue to encourage theculture of giving back to Texas State," said Travis Comer, Associate Athletics
Director. "Our goal is to continue to be aggressive statewide in order to build our donor base to 2,000 donors and raise
over $1.2 million in scholarship support for our student-athletes. With the
growing support, enthusiasm and passion of our fans, we believe this is a
realistic target to achieve."
In an effort to continue this momentum, the Bobcat Club will be announcing some
exciting new initiatives in early 2013, including the unveiling of its new
Priority Points program as well as the "Bring a Bobcat" campaign.
Bonanza Sneak Peak
The Bobcat Club is making plans for our 25th Annual Bobcat Bonanza! This is our athletic department's biggest
annual fundraising event in support of the student-athlete scholarship fund. To celebrate 25 years of Bonanza,
we are hoping to make this year's event our biggest and best yet. We are planning on Saturday, March 23rd, 2013
as the date for this year's Bonanza which will include a golf tournament, live
and silent auction as well as a football scrimmage at Bobcat Stadium.
Some of the items we expect to have at this event for fans to bid on include:
vacation packages and time shares, spa and boutique packages, airline vouchers,
jewelry, autographed memorabilia, and tickets to concerts and athletic events.
Bobcat Bonanza continues to be a great fundraiser to help support scholarships and has
grown from a $28,000 fundraiser in 2009 to over $145,000 last year. This event continues to be an event where 450
Bobcats gather to share in the excitement and passion of Texas State Athletics.
Baseball and Softball Ticket Sales smashing records!
2013 Baseball and Softball season ticket sales have gotten off to a great start,
with both sports experiencing record ticket sales. Currently all reserved seats in Sections E
and F are all sold out, with very few reserved seats remaining in section G for
baseball. Overall season tickets for baseball have already increased 19% above
our all time high season ticket sales.
The new support was evident this past weekend as we had over 1600 fans
attend each game during the CenturyLink Bobcat Invitational.
Our softball sales have increased over 140% from the previous season, which is 26%
above our all time high season ticket sales.
We are also very excited to announce that we are updating our new ticket office at
the North End Zone with an internal call center for athletics. We believe this is a very important step in
having the processes and tools in place to continue to expand and grow our fan
base and to see the results in all of our sports that we are seeing in baseball
and softball this season.
