seems to be in the mold of boone pickens stadium (which i like-since it has the more retro feel to it)

Nice stuff.

Did they find any more past championships to put on the wall?

Clicked this thread just to see what comedic gold Chump had to share. Did not underwhelm.

It's like an ongoing car wreck, for sure.

Honestly, more stadiums should go to the brick look, at least for college. It looks more inviting imo compared to the shitty look of the couple stadiums ive been to.

Kyle Field is deafening already! With it being closed up like that and creating more of a "bowl" effect, it gonna be off the hook loud!! Nice look.

Kyle Field is pretty load. The milk men with the shaved heads grabbing their crotch really gets the crowd pumped.

Student section will stay intact. It will remain on the east-side of the stadium.

Good. I believe all student sections should be right near or directly behind an opponent's bench.

In down years when A&M has trouble filling the stadium, they can hire a consultant from Baylor with expertise in tarps.

Just saw the propaganda vid for the stadium.

I'm sold. A&m is on the verge of owning the SEC. Listen to the significance of that proposal. They will be the preeminent program in the miniature NFL. What will UT do to counter...what can they do.

Where are they getting $450 million?

more debt.

The total cost of Kyle Field Redevelopment is $450 million. 51 percent will be funded by annual seat licenses, 27 percent will be funded by Kyle Field Campaign gifts, 17 percent will be funded by Texas A&M students and 5 percent will be funded by the local government agencies.

For example, 12 founder suites that cost approximately $15,000,000 have already been sold. That's 180M

Where are they getting $450 million?

part from donations but mostly from a hotel/car rental tax in college station (similar to how the alamodome was funded)

more debt.

Bonds are, in fact, a form of debt.

Whoo, like $80 million from students?

Don't worry, I'm sure DKR will add a couple thousand seats in the next few years.

Under Perry's plan they could use it as a lecture hall too.

zing!

nah this is just another step in the UT-A&M arms race.

Conferences aren't forever. This is gonna play out until there are 2 conferences just like every over stupid thing in amerka

Conferences will not go away for a long time. There will be the PAC, B1G, B12/ACC, SEC.
