If you haven't experienced the loss of a child like that, it is incredibly sad. And it would have been their first. We went through that, but it would have been our sixth, and only two months along. It is an unspeakable tragedy, the saddest day of my life. I have always liked him and the edge that he brings. Reports indicate that Tim Duncan was in touch with him every day, and Sean Elliott and other Spurs family gave him considerable support. I am very proud of this organization for how they supported him and handled this tragedy.

Oh my gosh. Prayers to Stephen and his family. I had a miscarriage before, and I'm on my second pregnancy so far 4 1/2 months a long. I worry about this all the time.

I know any other team would do the same, but I can't help but think the Spurs supported them in an extraordinary way.
What love.

So so tough but it's great that there has been such an outpouring of support. I love having Jack on this team.

I'm not a doctor but I know many cases like this one (one last week), sadly is common.
Even though it doesn't always mean anything, is really hard for the couple to decide to get pregnant again. Especially women, which end up assuming that they are more responsible than men, which is not true.
Even though I know many cases like this one, I have yet to see one of these couples having problems with the next pregnancy, which is very good news.
I hope this is Jackson's family case and they decide to get pregnant again.
Best wishes for him and his family.

6 1/2 months is just tough. i've never experienced anything like that so I can't imagine what they are feeling, but it's great how the Spurs organization handled this based on his wife's post. thoughts and prayers with the family.

a good friend of mine had the very same thing happen recently, its horrible, truley horrible. No one should have to go through such a loss, its amazing testement to Jacks character that he can still be strong for his family and his team.

Hope he keeps his head up; I know he has other children, but this one was going to be his first with his current wife. That just damn sad.
