2nd of a b2b nearing the end of the RRT, this was predictable. I even predicted it! ;)

Nothing to worry about here, although I have a strange feeling we'll meet the Warriors in the playoffs and it'll be a tougher series than you'd think.

The turning point?? The unchanged call on the out of bounds. Gave the Warriors the momentum to win. Does anyone on here believe that the refs couldn't see the play on the replay? Not me. That was a David Stern call. If they gave the ball to the Spurs he would have given them hell.

FromWayDowntown

Still wanna know what Spurs touched that ball to the refs not overturn the call

I think they punted on it and said the video wasn't conclusive to overturn; they may have thought that Manu might have made contact with the ball before he made contact with Curry. When I saw one of the replays, I pretty much immediately thought -- given the circumstances -- that Foster was going to leave the call as it was.

Can't win them all. I'd rather lose to a class act like the Warriors (as seen after the game, and also a few years ago when Duncan came down with an injury in Golden State and the entire arena went silent) than teams like OKC or either LA team.

Too much Neal destroyed any chances the Spurs had at the win.

The combination of Neal, Bonner and Blair decimates any chances of winning anything.

The out of bounds call was absolute bullshit, but you can't solely blame that play for the loss.

Pop fucked up by overplaying Neal who scrubbed it up tonight. That sequence where Curry got hot was 60% on Pop. Neal should never, and I mean never, be guarding a threat on offense.

I really hope the Spurs don't play LA in round one. TP is phenomenal but he's not the type of dominant player that can't be shut down no matter what. There is only a handful of players like that. They fought hard, but I really hope we don't see that awkward TD forced down low style of play too often in the playoffs - I just don't believe it will work.

Spurs are going to be in most games now because of their improved defense, which is great, so I am hopeful for their sustainable success. I just hope they don't draw a brutal playoff match up(s)

Meh, thought this would be a loss, which was fine considering they won the only must-win game of the trip last night. Only thing I'm worried about now is the Heat catching the Spurs for best record; they're only one game back in the loss column.

Back in January, the Thunder lost in Oakland in a similar game under similar circumstances -- 3 road game in 4 nights following an impressive win over the Clippers at Staples. It happens.

I thought we would lose the first game we played the Warriors this season, tbh. They are a legit playoff team and it seemed they were determined to beat us at least once this season and tonight was the night. It took their best game of the season, even the local announcers here (I live 30 minutes away from Oakland) are saying it was their best game since the '07 season when they beat the Mavs in the 1st round of the playoffs.

They remind me of OKC. Such a faggy team tbh.

OKC's more annoying though because they get whistles like crazy while Golden State does BS like chuck and duck basketball.

then again they're a team from the Bay Area and have HWSNBN on their team.

Tony looks tired from carrying the team all year. Gonna need Ginobili to contribute more for the Spurs to have a chance. It'd be nice to see him a little more than once every 5 games. Tony can't carry his brittle ass for the rest of the year.

Tony and Manu I'm not worried about. It's the likes of Bonner/Diaw/Blair/Neal that have to be carried.

Miami has a much tougher schedule coming up because their first half of the season had many long breaks and more home games.

they'll have 2 long road trips in March while the Spurs play two TOTAL road games in the same month.

They're also playing great basketball now and appear to actually be trying a bit. Lebron and Wade might've decided to go ahead and get HCA for the hell of it after winning without it last year. Hopefully they don't catch up but I wouldn't be surprised.

Sticking bigger guys on TP has ALWAYS bothered him. We all know this, it's no secret. The Thunder did it by putting Sefolosha on him last year. I wouldn't say Klay Thompson shut him down, we also have to remember this was the 3rd game in 4 nights for the Spurs. With us playing in OT tonight, I expect Pop to be CIA Pop on Sunday by benching one or more of the Big 3 and maybe Kawhi. And the Suns played us tough last time as well as the Kings. I'd love to beat some Pistons ass, though and get some payback for that fluke of a loss.

To avoid injury against a scrub team. Tiago got dinged up tonight and we didn't get a win out of it. Pop might choose to play it safe and rest Tiago for sure while sitting out one or some of the Big 3 with him.

The team was up by 13 then Pop put the bench in so that they could get back to their ability to play well and close strong. Unfortunately, Jarrett Jack was the best bench player in the game.

And Tony had 25 and 8 in the home game against GS - no Curry, but Thompson was still guarding him.

It's just a regular season game and the Spurs definitely have played much better this season than they did tonight, but this game is an indicator of what worries me in a potential playoff series with the Heat and Thunder.

When Parker is taken out of the game by having guys like LeBron/Wade/Thabo guard him, it seems to affect the rest of the team. It just worries me that it might happen again just like last year's WCF. Thankfully, our defense is more improved from last year and some of our players. But I kinda had bad flashbacks with this game.
