It's the Nuggets vs. the All-Stars. James Silas scored 6 straight points. A-Train is in there, as is Ron Boone, Dr. J, etc.

There were 5 prescribed dunks. Mandatory under the basket, from 10 feet out (line drawn in lane 10 ft. from basket), starting from 3 pt. line, choice dunk, starting from the corner. Each player does all 5 and then it goes to the next player. Ice was okay but he missed one. Kenon did a couple of statue of liberty dunks. Michael Thompson did a 360 on his final dunk (but he missed his 4th dunk).

Dr. J did his dunk from 10 feet out by starting at the top of the key at the other end and then taking off from the FT line, 5 feet more than required, to dunk it. This was the famous, original FT line dunk that he later repeated in the NBA Slam Dunk contest versus Larry Nance in 1984.

Dr. J won this ABA contest in clearcut fashion. It was held at halftime of the All-Star Game. My how times have changed.

This is a cool ASG because it has several Spurs, plus some players who ended up playing with the Spurs later in their careers.

Billy (the Whopper) Paultz and Larry Kenon, Ice, Jimmy Silas, plus Ron Boone and A-Train Gilmore.

Horry For 3!
