Would you put him in the top 10 players in NBA history?

I'm asking non-Spurs fans since I'm looking for unbiased answers.

Asif Ali Zardari

I would say yes, FWIW.

1. Michael Jordan
2. Magic Johnson
3. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
4. Kobe Bryant
5. Bill Russell
6. Hakeem Olajuwon
7. Wilt Chamberlain
8. Shaquille O'Neal
9. Larry Bird
10. Jerry West
11. Oscar Robertson
12. Moses Malone

I would put Duncan at 13th, but I would move him to 10th if he wins a 6th.

If Duncan won 6, he'd be up there with Magic and Kareem.

My mistake, I thought he was currently tied with Kobe's ring count considering how Spurs fans rank him ahead on the all-time list:lol.

Most NBA fans were asleep during the Spurs string of titles, it was pretty boring.

5 Rings
Back-to-back Finals MVP awards
Record number of all-NBA teams
Going to challenge the career points record
81 points in 1 game
Single-game record for 3s made
Greatest of his generation according to his peers
Best closer of his era
Took a team with Smush Parker and Kwame Brown to the playoffs

Kobe is clearly in the top 5 and only an idiot would think otherwise.

-2 rings without Shaq
-Sure
-ESPN Writers select those teams.
-On an insane usage rating
-Against Toronto
-Big deal. JR Smith did just as good.
-Who? Dirk? The media?
-Average shooting percentage with game on the line, lower than Hedo Turkoglu
-Phil was coaching and Odom was there as well

I would put Duncan at 13th, but I would move him to 10th if he wins a 6th.

Tim has more Finals MVP's than a majority of your list, and only MJ has more. Tied with Magic and Shaq. Granted, I'm sure Russell would have won his fair share if the award existed back then.

And if Cleveland was a legitimate challenge in 07 they would have gone to Tim more and he would have #4 tbh

I have enormous respect for him. I have him in my top 5 big men of all time. He doesn't really have a ton of highlight reel moves which is why its hard for the casual fan to like him, but the guy is a legend. If you really look at it, its really Shaq V Duncan as far as who was better. 4 titles v 4 titles, a few finals mvps with both. I would take Duncan as far as legacy, but if I had to build a team I would take a prime Shaq.

Depends on his role during the playoffs. For example, Kobe can't take much credit for the 3 titles with Shaq, while Duncan was the Spurs best player for the 4 Spurs championships. However, at this point Parker is the Spurs best player.

What's funny is that no matter what Bean does, he'll always be the #2 Shooting Guard of all time. In case you didn't know, Tim Duncan is already the #1 Power Forward of all time. Best to ever play his position, Tim can say that...Bean cannot...EVER.

OP wants unbiased opinions, yet he has Kobe 4th in an obvious Lakerhomer pick? :lmao

Jordan, then 3 Lakers. . .but he wants "unbiased" opinions :lmao

Duncan is already above Kobe because he's been the better player of the two over their respective careers, and won 4 titles as the best player on his team, including one with zero all stars as help (2003). Kobe only has 2 rings as the best player on his team. When the Lakers were still good a few years ago, their frontcourt is what was feared, not their backcourt.

Imo, Kobe is nowhere near #4.

1. Jordan
2. Russell
3: Jabbar
4: Johnson
5: Chamberlain
6: O'Neal
7: Duncan
8: Hakeem
9: Kobe
10: Bird
