I've been using it with my AMEX and it's pretty safe. You can use that for Google Play Store Purchases and for other online payment facilities that support Google Wallet.

I would say quite unlikely, but you never know. I think AT&T was the driver behind the locked bootloader in the USA - that threat shouldn't be a factor for Canada.

I am loving this google wallet thing though. It's a shame it didn't really take off and that there aren't a lot of locations that uses it. If cashiers are shocked that you're using your phone to pay for stuff, then that's definitely not a good sign.

cant afford a s4, but ima go out and get the sony xperia z which is nearly identical to the s4 in specs, has expandable memory which is the deciding factor for me over the new nexus 5... and at around the same price as the nexus 5 420bucks if u look around, even cheaper if its imported stock...

Got this phone last week after my razr maxx was seeing some major slowdown.

It's great so far... but the battery drains very quickly. When I wake up I usually browse news stories and reply to texts for maybe 15 or 20 minutes and that usually drains the battery to a bit above 90%

I love it otherwise. I have big hands and it fits me perfectly. The 4.3 inch display in the maxx feels incredibly small now. I'm not even sure how I ever used it.

I bought the wireless charging battery cover so i think im just going to buy a couple more of the stations so i can lay it down anywhere in my living/office/or bedroom and not worry about the cables.

well that was quick. dropped it maybe 3 feet on the kitchen floor and while the screen didn't crack, something must have busted internally. I knew going in that it wasn't going to be as sturdy as my old maxx but damn.

Damn brah that sucks, why do you think something busted internally? The S4 is indeed not the strongest phone when i t comes to drops, from what I know. I always rock my phones with cases in any case, but that still sucks.

screen is mostly black. you can see the notification bar and about 10% of the rest of the screen, but there's no way to really do anything with it besides check the time.

popped the sim into my old phone and am waiting until mon or tues for the insurance replacement.

nah, unfortunately i didnt. i opted for the wireless charging set up which makes the flip book cases unusable and i didnt want one of the bulkier ones.

now that i know that the s4 is pretty much like a bar of soap (my maxx had a really nice textured back that was gave good grip) ill be getting an otter box

no point replacing the screen when it costs like 100-200bucks for the parts....

hence you lose alot of sensitivity from the repair screen, cause that shit isnt fix in a dust free environment like the factories wherever its built...

I am not too tech savvy. What do you mean by that? Or know of any good links? Google seems to be telling me I still need to be rooted to take it off, if I understand correctly.

If you have rooted your S4, then you have unlocked your bootloader in the process

(the bootloader is locked in the U.S)

Ask your question at XDA forums (ATT S4 subforum)

Superuser is a pain in the ass to fully uninstall. SuperSU has the built in uninstlal that worked for me, tbh.
