I don't think so. But if the Mavs also had a healthy Butler, then they have a chance.

Yes because 2011 Dirk was hungrier than 2012 Lebron. That 2011 Mavs team was one of the hungriest teams in the history of the NBA playoffs. There was a huge history of playoff failures and choking on that roster.

Possibly but they had no shot at 2013 Heat

it was our complacency that cost us the title in 2011 imho. we were the favorite to win the title in 11 and the pundits didnt even see dallas getting through the 2nd round when they drew the lakers, but them mavs surprised everyone by clinching the championship, the level of ambition and hunger they displayed through their 11' championship run was very impressive imho. they played every game like it was their last game, but you never saw that fortitude from them again after winning the championship tbh

LeBron was plenty hungry in 2012, tbh. He really carried that team and had huge games when the Heat needed them most.

No, LeBron in 2012 was not the same LeBron in 2011. In 2012 he played out of the post, while he did not do so in 2011.

No, but they would have given a healthy Heat team the best fight out of everyone else. Boston/Indiana only pushed Miami last year due to Bosh being out.

I disagree. Dirk was way hungrier than Lebron. Dirk was on team that choked a 2-0 lead in the Finals in 2006 and then followed that up in 2007 by getting the best record and choking in the first round to the Warriors. He was hungrier. Case closed.

I think it'd be a toss up, but I think that Dallas team would be very well equipped to compete very well with the 2012 Heat.

it wasn't just dirk imho, the whole team looked desperate to ring that year. bron also wanted the ring bad cuz he needed it to justify his departure from cleveland but the rest of his team were just playing with joy out there imho. wade already had a ring and the rest of his team were sorry asses. a fired up bron ain't enough to win us the ship imho

The 2012 Heat weren't healthy, so no.

Yes. It's a shame Cuban's dumbass broke that team up. They would have repeated IMO. As a Laker Fan, I hate to say that but it's true.

As a Heat hater you love to say that. You're more a Heat hater than a LkrFag.

WTF this thread? Could the 2011 Mavs beat the 2012 Heat? Both irrelevant in 2013 tbh...

How are the defending champs and easy the favorites to repeat, irrelevant?

Don't get so defensive Norris, just because you are a benchwarmer on the Heat. I am talking the Heat are not the same team this year. Lebrick is a year older. Wade is broken down. The bench sucks. The 12 game win streak is fools gold coming at the wrong time tbh... They would rather peak at the end, but instead they are splooging prematurely with this run which will come to an end in the next 3 games probably. Bron will choke as usual and they will not repeat this year. OKC or Spurs have their number bc they both have 2 or more lockdown perimeter defenders that they can run at him all game. It's Ovah broheim!
