I'm starting to think if you replaced Kobe with Manu on the Lakers they wouldn't make the playoffs then either.

Ginobili gave this game away. He needs to retire after this season if he's gonna do shit like that in the clutch.

bargain, tbh... at least the Spurs have the best record in the league... some other SGs making over twice as much are still losing...

Course not.

If you cant make it with your "best player" you're definitely not going to make it with a less talented player who comes off the bench.

Spurs will likely extend him for two more years if he wants to keep playing... at a reasonable amount, obviously... he still brings a lot of messicans to the AT&T center

There's no reasonable amount for a Mexibonner tbh.

dude has been shit this season with the injury and falling out of places

tony parker...has gotten a big head with all the mvp talk and falling down to earth, just like last season heading into the playoffs and calling out frog looking clown westbrick and pulling a david copperfield

Given what he's done for this team over the years, I'd say worth every penny. No regrets here.

for his current level 14m might be a bit too much but i think that's a fair compensation to him for his cheap survices in his early years imho, when he was playing for 2-3 m/yr something while cranking out superstar stats

Not really. The only season he put up Superstar stats was in 2005 and he was already paid. He put up decent numbers in his first three seasons though.

His salary was lower than his performance fre years ago...this just evens the thing out.
Hoepfully he stays in SA for 1-2 years...

From 07 to '11 Manu was earning every damn penny of that and then some. It's not uncommon for players to be "overpaid" near the end of their contract. Timmy and KG were both making north of 20 million last season. Kirby is making 30 million next year. Jax is getting paid 10 million. RJ will be getting 10 million next season. All Manu's contract means is cap relief after the season while not being a tremendous burden now.

He turned down a max contract to stay in San Antonio tbh...

manu spent almost his entire life playing as the 6th man in san antonio and had been selected into the all-star game multiple times. if he ever moved to a mid-table team and became the #1 he would've easily raked in superstar stats like beard nigga does in houston imho. he was already a key part of the team around 05 and he was earning 6-7m a year something, when he was already a familiar face in all star games
