He would be an interesting pick in the 1st round. At 22, he has shown what he can do. You know about what you are getting. He can improve in some areas, but I dont see him vastly improving. Not sure he is Spurs material, but then I worried about Splitter for 2 years and he is now a solid part of the Spurs starting lineup.

here's a really fun scouting video on him. i really like brandon davies, but if the spurs end up with leslie. i'd be pretty optimistic. hell, davies may be there in the 2nd.

He's really athletic but hes a tweener. More of a 4 than a 3 and there are some serious concerns about that.

i like that he's a tweener. and i'm going off an old scouting vid and combine results. but, i'd say he's more of a 3. super athlete. with the hands, length, and body big enough to be a makeshift 4.

i think timmy, tiago, baynes, and bonner/bertans?/whatever stretch 4, serviceable big? is fine for bigs next year. especially, if guys like leslie are the target at 28.

just no more blair! if they're gonna have somebody too small to be a 4, he oughta at least be a good 3.

Well like I said earlier he has great athleticism and his ball handling is good so I guess he can be looked as a 3 in that regard as well as being able to defend that position but he's got some serious issues with his range and shooting the ball. You can't be a rotation wing in the Spurs system without being able to knock down shots and you can't be classified as a stretch 4 if you can't shoot.

If you play him at the 4 then he could have some problems defending bigger guys in the post.

Just problems all tweeners seem to go through. No natural position.

when it comes to the spurs, i'm not worried about draft prospects with bad shots. that's actually what makes him seem even more believable as a spurs target. i suspect they see bad shooter prospects as a bargain. great in some way, with low stock. capable of being coached up on shooting. resulting in a major gem.

you're right on the post defense. i think that's the biggest area of concern. but, i also suspect they're expecting his athleticism to compensate for his shortcoming of bulk.

I'm from the North Carolina area and have grown up a die-hard NC State fan.

CJ got a lot of shit talked about him this year regarding being selfish. He also commits a good amount of turnovers (stupid travels and goaltending calls). But when this guy is on he is the REAL DEAL. His athleticism is ridiculous and he can play hard. He doesn't have much heart.. I honestly think he should have stayed in school one more year.. His jumpshot is mediocre.. he really is a more athletic Kawhi Leonard that will have to improve on his jumpshot a LOT to be effective in the Spurs system.

This is a little bit of CJ:

He's basically a DeJuan Blair replacement. Not sure that's a good thing.

leslie is back on the market. i read a different article from some dude who followed him from high school to college. that dude said leslie is all hype. i dunno about that. that pre-draft athleticism hype sounded pretty good. i bet the spurs could get some production out of him. i feel more optimistic about leslie than howard. but i happened across another gem as well...
