Perkins doesn't rebound well, very limited both offensively and defensively, just plain sucks. Ibaka can block shots and hit the J when open but he's has a very low IQ. Both have no post game and both known for their defense but don't actually bring much to the table in terms of defense.

Ibaka is a terrible one on one defender

Perk shouldn't even play against Miami. I'm not sure they're overrated because I don't know who really ranks them all tht high. It's not like they are all star caliber players. Perkins has value defending. He has value guarding bigs like Duncan and Gasol. OKC would be in a little trouble against some teams without Perk. Ibaka has value. He's a very solid PF. Overrated? No. The duo as a front court is better than average. They have limitations though.

They have a front court? There's a reason a team with a somewhat weak front court (The Heat) destroyed a team with no front court (the Thunder) Perkins is a shell of what he was in Boston. The Thunder are nothing but jump shooters

You can't be serious. A Memphis fan especially is the last person I would expect to hear that from. Jeff Green is a mediocre SF who started at PF for OKC and couldn't grab a rebound to save his life. His interior presence was completely non existent. Nenad hit 17 footers and literally did almost nothin else.

Perkins is a good post defender but lousy paint protector. Ibaka, on the flipside, is a good paint protector but a lousy post defender

perkins has been underrated imho. dude gives you quite a presence in the paint and clogs up the lane which would otherwise allow slashers to cut in.

Perkins / Ibaka / Collison / Durant is a very solid front court.

The only real value Perk ever had was for his defense on Dewey Howard, tbh. Otherwise he's an oafish foul machine.

Ibaka is a shitty one on one defender who constantly finds himself out of position going after every block. Perkins is useless against most the league and not close to worth his salary. OKC doesn't have one post threat and their only frontcourt player worth a damn is Durant.

:lol Jerry with the goods
:lol could have just amnestied Perkins so they could keep Harden and Ibaka
:lol $8,000,000 a year for elite post defense when the NBA doesn't have any elite post scorers

Ibaka has gotten productive enough offensive where I like him, but Perkins gets more useless every year given the direction the NBA is headed. Big men who are nothing but huge bodies with horrible hands and coordination so they can't do anything on offense are a thing of the past. Only reason they would have been useful this year is if the Lakers were good.

Ibaka is a world-class help defender who gets blocks frequently. Perkins is a serviceable one on one defender who's primary purpose is to frustrate other centers. In other words, he attempts to make it harder.

In case you haven't checked Ibaka is beginning to open up his repertoire. He's knocking down midrange shots on the regular and his post game is slightly but surely improving at a promising rate.

:lol at you insinuating the notion that this frontcourt is overrated. They are what they are at the moment: serviceable.

Collison has post game and is a very good defensive player and rebounder. Perkins is effective against big slower post players, like Bynum or Duncan. Ibaka is a great shotblocker, has a great midrange jumper. Durant is one of the best tweeners to ever play the game. Thabo at SF is solid too.

They matchup bad when Miami played Bosh at 5 and LeBron at 4 and Battier at 3, but their front court is very solid imo and they got to eliminate the Spurs, also the Lakers at some points - for which was built. They failed to contain Dirk in 2011, well neither the Heat had answers.

having porkins means the opposing team will not score at will in the paint no matter what players they have (pau, duncan etc...), for which alone he's worth the $ he gets paid tbh

unless NY make some noise in the playoffs this year, their frontcourt would be considered the most overrated of the decade, or maybe even the past two decades tbh. NY's frontcourt might be even superior to that one the lakers had through 09-10 it looks like

so are you a New Yorker or Floridian? I'm confused. Bandwagon guy? I've probably seen Miami in person more than you.
