Any believers in the Hawks tonight?
Except for a hiccup in Phoenix they've quietly taken the 4th seed out east (though even the Warriors could do that). They've beaten Utah, a tough home team, in Salt Lake City.

Lakers win by 6-8 IMO..
This should be a good barometer for the Lakers..most of their recent wins have been against shitty teams, we still don't know where they rank in the league right now IMO..

true, they have a lisp but it didn't bother me when visiting there. it sounded way nicer and softer than what I hear out of Mexicans, which might be the most grating Spanish. I can't speak for Columbians and Argentinians though, haven't heard enough to see how it compares. PR Spanish is pretty annoying too.

Hawks are too offensively challenged to charge ahead in the 2nd half. A contender would be up 68-52 on the suck-ass Lakers, but since the shitty Hawks have no offensive system to speak of and basically just wing it every time down, they're unable to capitalize on turnovers and exploit the Lakers' many defensive weaknesses. They're trying to out talent the Lakers, and that won't get it done.

Despite being on the road, LA has one of the most ridic easy schedules.
They've barely eked out wins at home over the likes of Atlanta, Dallas, Portland, and Phoenix lately.... there's no such thing as a "ridic easy schedule" for the Lakers since they make games against shitty teams hard for themselves, tbh...

Was just about to say this. They have to have the easiest schedule of any team left in the NBA. Aside from OKC and one stop in Indiana, it's easy coasting.

A bit shaky DPG, but refs missed one a few shots prior on Kobe ... so I like I have said so many times on here ...calls even out over a game or a season.
I know a bunch of bitchass niccas like to look for bullshit conspiracies ... but if there was one why do they allow dwight to get in to foul trouble? why does Kobe lead the league in techs? Do we get calls ...especially at home? Yep. But so do other teams and other stars. I dont whine about the Calls the Heat get (except Lebron going weeks without a foul) because I get that it's the game. Stars get calls. Rookies and no names get hosed ...and the refs serve plenty of home cookin. No conspiracies just the way it is ...

Unlike Nono, I don't expect the Lakers to miss the playoffs. Utah is incompetent on the road and due for a losing streak. The Lakers will play consistent .600 ball till the end of the season and likely snag the 8th seed. But they are nowhere close to playing contender level basketball and aren't really a threat to do much of anything in the playoffs. I admit I don't want to see them in the first round, because every time the Lakers and Spurs matchup, the breaks always seem to go their way, not to mention Parker's tendency to puke on himself when he sees those Purple 'n Piss uniforms charging his way. Other than that, Lakers will get slaughtered by OKC or the Clippers if those matchups somehow happen.

That doesn't make any sense. Your argument is just terrible. You literally just said you could make a case for the teams I listed to be good or dangerous. There is quite literally no argument there.
No, you listed them as terrible teams and a sure win for the lakers which is all assumptions by you. I merely pointed otherwise.
You came in here without knowing your facts straight. You're basically banking on the Lakers winning all these games against the upcoming teams just based on how they have done On years prior. You have to throw all that out of the window. There are no guarantees this year.
You just have a problem admitting you're often wrong about things.

:lol You actually believe that.
Lakers will give the Spurs a fight, but the Spurs should put them away in 6.
You guys roll with Cory Joseph and Nintendo Colon (no TP, or at best, a gimpy <100% TP) and you think 8 won't repeat itself? Especially considering we get back Pau? :lolK

TP will be back nearly 3 weeks before the playoffs... you can keep going with that pipe dream, but it's not happening...

I did not get the sense my boy DPG was saying Lakers sweep those games. He said Lakers are playing better and their schedule is soft. He never said we gonna go 22-0. I think he expects .600 ball while Jazz may play less than .500 so Lakers squeak in ...
I do admit, for some strange reason DPG overrates us a bit the past 2 seasons ... that being said Lakers making the playoffs is not some great leap. Lakers have played better than the 3 teams ahead of them the past 17 games ...

Leonard can put Kobe on lock.
Spurs got enough weapons to put them away even with Parker not 100%.
That Memphis 8th was illegitimate tbh.

Yep, you are right. I edited my post. We'll still get in though. You better hope TP is 100% or we'll see 8 again, The Sequel! :lol
Implying Mike D'antoni will do anything but shit the bed against Pop

who's going to show up for LA? Jamison and Blake? :lol
Plus Lakeshow should really try to avoid the Spurs, since Pop is one of those coaches that will go at hack-a-dwight mercilessly over and over and make him pay.

Doubtful. Spurs will win, but He will not lock Kobe ...in fact my guess Pop will double Kobe down the stretch and HackaDwight. Lakers may win a a game or two but Pop owns Mike d ...

Just got out of work, checked my phone, and saw the final score. Must've been a good one. Should I read through this thread, or can I safely assume that at least 80% of the posts were people crying about the officiating/Stern?
