Rank these players in order of whom you would prefer as a top player on your team, if you were building a contender..

Josh Smith
Carlos Boozer
OJ Mayo
Rudy Gay
Monta Ellis
Brandon Jennings
Joe Johnson

(ignore contracts)

That's my point, it's intended to be difficult to rank:lol..

You should've left out "top player"... none of those guys can fill the role

I meant top option as a #1 or a #2..

All of them are arguably top 2 options on their current teams, tbh..

I would have agreed with you 4 years ago. Ellis used to be a pretty damn efficient scorer... but his shooting% has dropped every single season dating back from 08. combine that with his career 31% three point shooting while averaging about 3 attempts a game for his career and you have yourself an inefficient chucker. at least crawford nails 3's and is usually pretty clutch.

I'll assume we're also leaving out the "bring people to the seats" factor. *shrug* I don't watch as much basketball from other divisions as I do the Atlantic (and I haven't seen much of any since my move), so this is a very uninformed opinion.

1. Gay
2. Josh Smith
3. Joe Johnson

The first 3 were hard enough tbh. The rest aren't worth the effort.

I am not aware of who has stood up most in playoffs but that is who I would pick first. Joe Johnson's playoffs last year makes me hesitate to pick him high even after multiple game winners this year

josh smith is the one i would like to take as the #2 or #3 on my team. dude can be a quality defender while also providing decent outputs at offensive end with good efficiency. but as a top player i'd take monta over anyone else listed above tbh
