Slick move Obama. Helps the poor, uninformed voter put the blame on the right, and vote Dem again since "the mean Republicans took my food stamps away".

from OP article:
The $85 billion in automatic cuts working their way through the federal budget (http://topics.nytimes.com/top/reference/timestopics/subjects/f/federal_budget_us/index.html?inline=nyt-classifier) spare many programs that aid the poorest and most vulnerable Americans, including the Children’s Health Insurance Program (http://www.medicaid.gov/medicaid-chip-program-information/by-topics/childrens-health-insurance-program-chip/childrens-health-insurance-program-chip.html) and food stamps.

CHIPRA Reauthorized and Improved CHIP in 2009The Children's Health Insurance Program Reauthorization Act (CHIPRA) (http://www.insurekidsnow.gov/professionals/reports/chipra/2010_annual.pdf) was signed in 2009. CHIPRA reauthorized the program, provided additional funding for CHIP, and made many improvements to the Medicaid and CHIP programs.
CHIPRA also authorized new federal funding for outreach to children who are eligible for Medicaid or CHIP, but are not enrolled. This included $100 million in funding to be made available between FY 2009 and FY 2013:

$10 million for a national outreach campaign (http://www.insurekidsnow.gov/professionals/campaigns/)
$10 million in grants to Indian Tribes (http://www.medicaid.gov/Medicaid-CHIP-Program-Information/By-Topics/Childrens-Health-Insurance-Program-CHIP/CHIPRA-Grants.html), Indian health service providers, and other tribal health care providers
$80 million in grants to promote enrollment and retention (http://www.medicaid.gov/Medicaid-CHIP-Program-Information/By-Topics/Childrens-Health-Insurance-Program-CHIP/CHIPRA-Grants.html) in Medicaid and CHIP

That's 90 million they could cut. It's too bad BHO said he would veto a bill that gives him the ability to move the cuts around

Spread that propaganda, Bishop Boutons.

Bishop Boutons wants a commie marxist society. He wants something for nothing.

You don't think Barack Hoprah Obama wants to be responsible for any cuts, do you? To take that responsibility would certainly piss off some of his sheople.
