Shows exactly what is wrong with religion. It is man made and as a result open to corruption from man. At the core the values are sound... no doubting that but the fact that is so much corruption and covering up worldwide in any religion really highlights how bad it is.

No. It's not religion.

It shows simple human nature. No matter what position or job someone has, there are unethical people who will abuse their positions. Police officers, politicians, priests, etc.

Of course there is but there are scales. This isn't just a simple cop giving someone a ticket because they have power. This is a huge organisation that is effectively enabling and encouraging sexual abuse. Catholic priests are also the most prolific sexual abusers of children on earth. How can these man be seen to be men of god when they allow such things to happen. Ratzinger knew every case of child abuse since 2001 and did nothing.. how can a human being look the other way in this respect?

I see...

You were on the inside, and know that as fact rather than speculation.

You need to testify the facts you have at hand, in court!

ALthough your premise is retarded, I wonder what some of the great christians who were religious, throughout history, would have felt. Greats like Mother Teresa, Thomas Aquanos, John Adams, etc.

I don't defend pedophiles at all. If it were my choice, they would get the death penalty.

I simply disagree with the assessment that it is caused by religion. Again, evil people abuse positions of power.

Can you prove your claim:

This is a huge organisation that is effectively enabling and encouraging sexual abuse. Catholic priests are also the most prolific sexual abusers of children on earth.

Just because they are the most reported in the media does not make your claims true.

Do you really trust the M$M's?

FuzzyLumpkins

So all that shit out on both coasts, the UK, S America, etc reported by pretty much everybody is overblown because it's the 'M$M' and they are not going to go after other religions?

This is disgustingly ignorant even by your standards. You insist on assuming what you want to be true rather than going by what is actually evident.

Mother Theresa stole money meant for the poor and used it to propogate poverty around the world, while not even believing in god.

She's pretty evil, tbh.

TBH FWIW IMO You are a fucking moron. She gave her life to the poor. I know your leftist blog told you that she didn't believe in god, but that's ridiculous. I'm pretty sure your B_D buddies are getting that from the book about her from letters. She was depressed. She gave a life of poverty and helping the poor. Yet you want to call her evil.

She spent her life promoting poverty and ignorance - not surprised, that's how the catholic church(and religion, in general) keeps it's followers.

She was an evil bitch who didn't even believe in what she was promoting, and yet she did it anyway, just because she wanted to believe:cry

god is aware of everything they've done and they will receive fair punishments on the judgement day tbh. religion has no sin, it's just a reflection of human's genuine desire for a perfect world and most religions (even islam included) propagate positive idiologies.

truth bomb. bitches are the sources of all evils and i've never seen the point in glorifying a bitch as a religious model or shit. bitches belong to the kitchen and the whole mess of shit we're currently suffering is just the result of them bitches escaping into the men's world and whoring it up tbh.

i don't really hate anyone but im just pointing out the simple facts tbh. the world was fine in the 70s and 80s when most good women were staying where they should be. most bitches born in the 80s or later were all raised thinking they were princesses, under the influence of feminism something, and they're the main sources of all evils and shit that we've been struggling with these days.

the economy has grown, say 10%-20% something over the past few decades while the size of workforce as almost doubled with all them bitches having escaped from the kitchens, which results in the record-high unemployment rate, and it subsequently leads to higher crime rates as well. rape, murder, prostitution etc... all these crimes are bitch-related imho.

the world would've been a MUCH better place to live in if someone could rid it of all them females, or if all them bitches were confined in concentration camps and treated like hens. if they don't wanna take their duties in the kitchen, then the only thing for them to do is laying eggs tbh.

She ran a clinic that she wouldn't use herself and opposed divorce. If you know anything about Indian culture, you should know why that would be an issue.

She opened a lot of convents and proselytized well though.

I don't think she is evil but she is no more a saint than Pat Robertson.

Good point.

I read this somewhere and it is truth;

When prostitutes go to therapy/confession/etc... all they want to talk about is GOD.

When priests go to therapy/confession/etc... all they want to talk about is SEX.

When you give up something violently - or repress something - you are forever tied to it.

:lol her medical clinics wouldn't even give painkillers to terminally ill patients because she said extreme pain brought one closer to Christ.

She also supported Charles Keating and couldn't account for the money he donated to her which was originally stolen from people who's lives were ruined by Keating :lol

simple ORGANIZATIONAL nature is the for an organization to preserve itself NO MATTER WHAT. the systematic, decades long coverup by the CC hierarchy proves the CC is just another organization prioritizing its own presrevation above everything else. For me, the CC has no moral authority to dictate what is right and wrong. Individual Catholics maybe OK, but the CC is way past its Moral Authority date. misogyny, LGBT discrimination/hate, etc.

She lived in poverty. She's not an accountant but all here free hospitals for the poor were ran by nuns who also lived in poverty. When she won the nobel peace prize she donated all her prize money to the poor. She was the only person to treat certain people like lepers. You are also mistrepresenting. She gave people pain killers. But was quoted to that when someone was becoming addicted to morphine. Without those free hospitals, those people would have died on the streets.

:lol being against poverty but supporting someone who commits fraud and steals money from poor people She wasn't against poverty. She spent most of her life helping people who were poor.

She didn't help social mobility. She created a clinic in Calcutta that she wouldn't even use and discouraged divorce and abortion both of which diminish social stratification. Other than that she built convents and proselytized.

She created many mobile clinics, a leper colony, an orphanage, a nursing home and the clinic you have pointed out. She started missionaries of charity. And yes she was against divorce and abortion. No shit. A catholic is against abortion. How dare she!! Pretty pathetic to try and discredit her with that kind of nonsense. If you are stating that the country of India in particular is not better off having her there, than you are probably the best troll I've dealt with.

Her 'mission' was proselytizing. Authoritarian Christianity has never helped social mobility pretty much anywhere. South America is proof of that. It actually has the opposite effect. I can get the disdain for beatification.

:lmao Yeah because unalienable rights came from the atheist nothingness.
:lmao because American Exceptionalism came from the atheist work ethic.

We're a secular state. What sets us apart from most countries in the world is how much we adhere to it. I do think religious driven anti-intellectualism in the last 30 years has done more than a little damage to our 'exceptionalism.'

And sorry but the dark and middle ages speak for themselves. Europe didn't surpass eastern culture until after the reformation. From a historical basis, theocracy hasn't helped much.

I may make a few more enemies than i have already but I honestly feel the hard working Catholics that claim they are against this man on boy shit should all leave the church and see who is left. then after you weed out all the diehard Catholics start a new Catholic religion with all new priests that can have wives and go back to what Catholics are known for, sinning confessing, and sinning again. at least this time you don't have to put up with the child abuse smack.

The truth is the reason the Catholics don't leave the church is because it was never about doing what the bible preaches its always been about being able to have fun in life and get away with shit as long as you say it a few 100 hail Marys once a week.

If you believed in Enron and found out later your 401K is shit and you was scammed would you keep buying stock? I wouldn't need to be told year after year how i'm being fucked in the ass.

Why would you buy hamburger meat from Albertsons after they admitted year after year its 50% human flesh? How many times do you go to the same mechanic after you find out he never put the parts he charged you for in your car?

How many times would you go to the same doctor that admits he never went to medical school?

Well the Catholics can be told over and over their religion was a lie, their all going to hell and the pope admitted to having sex with 1000 6 year old boys while the bishops all video taped it as they drank blood from dead people's assholes and it wouldn't mean shit. After all how many of you see a line of Catholics waiting outside Cornerstone church every Sunday.

The only thing more loyal than a misguided Catholic is a clueless Republican.

so in closing I'm not here to bash religion or Catholics just stupidity.

Every religion and every religious group are no different than the catholic group. All the same.
Change a rule or two in each group and the lines would blur.

Then again...

People NOT in any religious group are no better either - just different choices - but no better/no worse.
