We have had atleast a shot every yr since DROB. Now shit happens injury, refs, sometimes other teams are just better. But how many team in any other sport can say they're atleast in the conversation every season as long as we have?

No kidding.
I imagine it would be like a masseuse giving a free happy ending and the customer still complains.

No. It's like a masseuse who used to give great happy endings but now quits before your can finish.

Spurfans are upset because they don't realize that only 2 NBA teams can have LeBron or Durant... otherwise its not even worth playing, apparently

So you're saying a guy named Glassnobili and a group of scrubs under-achieved.
Neat.

Probably because of the faggots that talk shit about the Spurs increase the insecurities of Spurs fans?

Spurs fans complain because they want to win it all, is either that or failure. I don’t care if that is good, bad, normal, #1 seed effect, etc...
At the end, Spurs fan want to WIN the finals.
And they complain because they know that OKC and MIA are (in their minds / real world) better than the Spurs, that’s all.

Totally spoiled fans.
We play some of the best team basketball in the league and have for sometime now. Keep watching Lebron bull to the rim every night and get fouled or Kobe try a fall away 3 after giving up his dribble and pivoting in five different directions.
Personally I would rather watch good basketball instead of ball hog bad winning.

Meh it's conversational TBH
Then again we could all just be circle jerking each other here if thats what you would rather have?
Other then that there wouldn't be much to talk about around here then.
Being a fan of a team is kind of like having a kid no? You can be upset with them for not reaching their potential that you know they can, but that does not make you not love them anyless.

again. it's not about complaining too much or being insecure. it's just calling a spade a spade
Spurs are like a super car, say a Porche that has taken us to the finish line a few times with ease but also many a times it has ran out of gas or broken down on the way. Now IMO it has done that a bit too many times to question, "is this a lemon?". Yes it's still a Porsche but it's no 911, and unfortunately at the moment its more like a 1999 Boxter with a 2nd hand turbo and all season tires :lol

I'm a long time reader of the board but I don't post often. I find the complaining to be rather ridiculous. Sure, sometimes there are legitimate reasons to bitch but for the amount of success this franchise has had over the last 15 years and really the last 24 years (ever since we got Robinson) you'd think Spurs fans would have a little perspective. I remember the lean years before we got the Admiral. Those were some really shitty teams.
I can't think of another franchise in any sport that has had the success we've had over such an extended period of time (the last 15 years). Even the Lakers and Celtics have had some pretty down years in that time frame. I believe no other organization in NBA history has won more games over a 15 year span as the Spurs have. Think about that for a second. That's incredible. Not the Celtics, not the Lakers, not the Bulls, not the Sixers, etc. IMO, and it's obviously a little biased, we're the best franchise in the league. Hands down, no contest. We don't have the biggest market or the flashiest players or the ultra-famous fanbase but we're the best. Best front office, best coaching staff, best TEAM. Other squads might have more talent but we're the best TEAM. I live in the Bay Area and I watch a lot of Warriors games and interact with a lot of Warriors fans and let me tell you, that's a fan base that should be complaining. That franchise has sucked balls for almost 30 years now. They've been irrelevant since the 70's. It makes me realize how lucky I am to be a Spurs fan.
Sure we've come up short the last few years. I think some of those teams should've gone farther and probably won it all but it's really tough to win it all. The ball doesn't always bounce our way. Sometimes players have bad games or calls go against us or injuries hurt us. It sucks but it's reality. But every single year the Spurs are back in contention. EVERY. SINGLE. YEAR. And really that's all you could ask for imo. Now I'm not saying people shouldn't complain because I'll complain too sometimes but it seems like some people bitch just to bitch. I think a lot of fans are probably pretty young and don't really appreciate what they have. They're spoiled. They'll learn soon enough when Duncan, Parker and Manu are gone and we have a really bad year or two before we rebuild and get back in contention. Then maybe they'll understand. Until then enjoy the ride because it ain't gonna last forever.

Overachieved is more apt. It's the front office, it never makes the move that gets us there. Manu's as good as a role player now; we need a third star.

Wrong!!! You aren't calling a spade a spade, you are displaying a sense of entitlement!
Even if a Porsche doesn't break down, it isn't guaranteed to win every race. It depends on the decisions made on the day! ;)
i agree there is too much bitching and moaning from people on here! You all new to find something nicer in life and stop making yourselves feel better by complaining and acting tough on your computers!

Part of it is the defensive slippage. Pop is finally getting back to better defense. I wish he would have kept the focus on defense back in '09.
