32 points in the first quarter spells win.
Pop should retire tbh, tired of his irrationnal love for microball and the turds towers.
in before it's mainstream.

Lol I'm happy to be wrong ATM...but they came out and played like shit. Very out of rhythm. We'll see if they have enough to put together a big win.

i know. im just playin, sorta. its easy to get pissed. i was too. but the "its over" comments were super premature, especially on a team as offensively potent as ours. even without tony we have some good shooters. and not to mention, we ARE still an elite defensive team, portland game being a recent outlier

doesn't really mean that much. i've seen plenty of great takes from non-bold's and PLENTY of shitty takes from bolded names. i actually recently got the bold thing a few weeks ago. there's no exact formula. just stick around, post. if you stay active and are reasonably intelligent in your posts the suits upstairs will notice.

It's almost 100% meaningless. The percentage of terrible takes and shitty posts by bolded named posters is the exact same as grey names from what I've seen. Only pink name means anything. Those posters are always shitty.

No matter how you slice it, the Spurs play lately combined with the nature of this game is incredibly alarming. That's not panic, it's reality. Hopefully they can right the ship..

Meh. Spurs weren't winning this game anyway especially with the funk they've been in lately.

04-04-2013, 09:29 PM
This game and the overall funk is the concern. Not just this game individually, but their overall level of play. Just hope they get healthy (especially TP/Kaw/Manu) and they amp it up...I am hopeful but very, very concerned.

I'm happy we kept it this close without Manu, Jack, and a not completely healthy Parker. Just stop leaving Fisher WIDE FUCKING OPEN.

It's just like last year. They have to be having a bad game for us to stay within 7-8 points. We are not good enough to beat them on an average night.
Maybe we'd be better if our guys were nastier and less afraid, but they are all too timid. They are scared to take the shots and that timidity makes shots that are naturally difficult against long athletic players even harder.
We aren't good enough.

Parker's fine. He's just being a bitch.
The situation is what it is with Manu. He's fucking old and his body is breaking down.
Of course, none of that has anything to do with this team's lack of fire. I mean grab a fucking O-board every once in a while and, for the love of sweet baby Jesus, play aggressive!

I'm not worried about the loss here but im worried as hell about the funk the Spurs are in finishing the season out.

My main interest now is watching Tim and Kawhi put up numbers. I don't think we have the defensive talent to beat OKC, but I'm gonna relish this great season from Tim and revel in the joy of watching Kawhi grow.
If someone beats OKC for us and allows us to make the Finals so we can beat Miami and win the championship, so be it, but it's not my main thing anymore. I just want to see Tim and Kawhi develop a sick 2-man game and put up twenty and ten at the same time every couple of games.

04-04-2013, 11:17 PM
Splitter, Parker and Green are all owned by the Thunder. They better sack up in playoff time or the Spurs are screwed. Timmy and Kawhi ain't gonna be enough to get it done.
Oh and De Colo...terrible decision by Pop. Guy has Beno written all over him for these playoffs.

04-04-2013, 11:18 PM
No meltdown. Like I said, we weren't winning. I was glad we were able to make it a game throughout.
Still not good that guys like Splitter and Diaw suck ass against OKC. They're gonna need to step up to help out Timmy.
Ginobili2Duncan
04-04-2013, 11:25 PM
A team to keep an eye on now is the Nuggets. In all likleyhood, the Spurs are going to end up with the No.2 seed which would put them against the Rockets. I think it would take six tough games to knock them out if Ginobili is not available. But if the Nuggets hold on to that No. 3 seed, then the Spurs could get a favorable match up against a team missing Gallinari and a banged up Lawson. That could be huge if Ginobili still isn't available for the beginning of the second round. Obviously the bad news would be no HCA against the Thunder in the WCF, but it didn't matter last year.

Moral victories count for shit in this league tbh.
Manu out until playoffs, Parker hobbled, Splitter utterly ineffective, hot-and-cold Green, De (kid not ready for primetime) Colo playing big minutes, Timmy and Kawhi forcing the action because others can't step up, counting on hero-ball Neal coming through.
I could go on bro, but pretty much everything on that list above needs to change for the Spurs to have a legitimate shot. You sure about no meltdown?

Spurs aren't winning anything this year anyway. The sooner people come to accept it, the easier it will be. And of course an injured Spurs team won't beat a fully healthy OKC team on the road in a regular season game. Why the fuck should there be a meltdown?
