I'm glad to see kawhi dunking more...enough with his weak layups all the time. He had the chance to do a damn near duplicate dunk a few minutes later but layed it up instead..and missed. The dunk was electric ...had that happened In the wcf, I may have creamed myself. I tell ya though, it sure was a relief not having harden running around down the stretch.

Because high flying powerful dunks have a real tendency to result in injuries to ones self, it is also more physically draining. If you have a clear path or are not being directly contested it makes alot more sense to have a simple lay-up or weak drop in dunk than to slam it down.

That's true for most...but leonard is what, 6'9" .. with some of the longest arms around...he's missed a lot of layups where he could have dunked instead...I'm not asking for 360's or anything, just put the ball in the hole.

I commented on that last night. He does that a lot in transition. Surprisingly enough, I've only seen him called on it once.

A game or two ago, he was on the break and took off about maybe 18" inside the FT line for a dunk, in live game action. He has hops AND hang time ability. If anything, his hang time is aided by the arms.
