Porn site offers Kobe $5M to enter dunk contest (http://www.foxsportswest.com/fox-sports-networks/story/Porn-site-offers-Kobe-5M-to-enter-dunk-c)

The NBA and a porn site are not exactly what you’d call perfect marketing partners, but if the website Sex.com has its way, next year’s All-Star Game slam dunk contest will be a star-studded affair.

The site, which calls itself a “virtual pinboard for porn,” is putting up $5 million to the Lakers’ Kobe Bryant if he’ll take part in the contest. There’s just one condition: LeBron James of the Miami Heat must also agree to compete.

Now there’s a dunk contest we’d all like to see.

Magic Johnson already has offered $1 million to James if he enters the dunk contest, but so far James has declined. That’s $6 million to two players who would clearly bring back luster to the annual slam-dunk showdown, which this year was won by Terrence Ross of the Toronto Raptors.

If your first reaction was “Terrence who?” you’re not alone.

At one time, the contest was a chance for the best players to strut their stuff in front of a large audience, but no more. In its early days, dunk winners included Dominique Wilkins, Michael Jordan and Bryant, but now the stars traditionally balk.

Clippers forward Blake Griffin became a video sensation in 2011 when he dunked over a small car, but he didn’t participate in either of the past two contests.

When a website (warning: the site is explicit) that bills itself as “the site for all your sex needs” has to offer huge money to get players involved, maybe the dunk contest has jumped the shark.

The NBA and porn: very strange bedfellows.

:lol what an interesting proposition

Sounds like they're just trying to get some attention, of course it won't happen, and if it did magically happen they'd be all over the media.
