Who the hell is doing the narrative? Bizarre. And he doesn't know how to pronounce Kawhi's name.

i saw this and thought it was a joke.

Aside from mispronouncing Kawhi, he said "Deion Walters" instead of "Waiters" which is a ridiculous mistake to make. Pretty sure he was drunk too. Slurred quite a bit of his words

First heard him a week ago. I think he's pretty old school tbh.

:lol That was hilarious.

He sounded like a terrible impersonator of Don LaFontaine.

Sounds like Larry King got a job at the NBA.:lol

Aside from mispronouncing a few names, I thought that was a pretty good attempt at narrating the game recap. Sounded like it was done in the 90s!

It was terrible, but I loved it, laughed the whole way through.

He sounds a lot like Van Earl Wright, who used to do sports for CNN in the early '90s.

That's Van Earl Wright from CNN years ago.

He has not improved.

At all.

I don't think anyway under 25 would know Van Earl.

I bet that's true. He did CNNSI and might have been on either ESPN or Fox Sports for a short time. He was the original Ric Renner, but about 20 times as ridiculous. I think he works for Bleacher Report now.

I also thought it was a joke when I saw this on youtube with that voice-over: 'SPURS Win over Cavs Despite Defense that's Decidedly Un-Spurs-Like (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ADV6m9LbGI)' :lol

Some funny responses here. :lol It was so different I enjoyed it. He might need to get the pronunciation of Kawhi's name from somebody! Thought it was indeed 'old school' sounding.

Yeah, it was kind of fun. Not the same old generic narrative.

There's simply no way to relay in print how ridiculous he sounded doing sports updates on CNN Headline News in the 80s.

He used to do Headline Sports on CNN In the late 80's and early 90's. I recall he would say Los Angelees a lot. The extra e is not a typo.
