'11 1st round out.
'12 WCFs then Popped - Thundereffed out.
'13 _____?

What's the worst playoff results for a three straight #1 seed team?
Maybe it's better to let Thunderef get the #1.

I think we end up finishing 2nd, so the point is moot. But if I had to guess then I'd say no.

I have no answer...
But Spurs-Lakers series is looking more and more likely to happen.

The Lakers were lucky to never face the Spurs when favorites. Head to head Phil is 4:1 vs Pop only by good luck. This year the Lakers are better then what the standings say, but I still doubt they will pass the Spurs with Parker healthy.

4-0, 4-1, 4-1, and 4-2 sounds like good luck to you? PJ has owned Pop.

The '01 series the Lakers were way better.
The '02 the games were close, the Lakers were the favorites.
In '03, the Lakers were the favorites, every other team already gave up. Pop stole that one from Phil.
In '04 the Lakers were heavy favorites, still the Spurs were 2:0 and the pivotal game 5 was decided by a 0.4s shot.
The Lakers were favorites in '08, after the Gasol trade. The Spurs were exhausted after the series vs the Hornets.

Not to say Phil isn't the best ever, but Pop is near his level.

'01 the Spurs were better prior to Juan Cowards flagrant cheapshot on Derek Anderson.
'04 the media may have created the Lakers as heavy favorites. Utter failure by 'Popped to adjust when up 2-0. Fakers switched from triangle to pick n roll and CIA Missing Pop did nothing to counter.
'08 Popped chocked off a 16 point late 3rd lead by taking Bowen off Kobme. Ask the board idol how that ranks.

Granted, Coatailing Phil doesn't do jack shit without his WWE refs and trades.

Clarification to OP. Has a team ever been the #1 seed three seasons in a row and not won a Championship/made the Finals? That is my question.

Probably a short list of those teams who have had three straight #1 seeds.
Certainly the Celts and Bulls did.
