Went from national champs last season to getting whooped by Robert Morris in the 1st round of the NIT. And trailing by double digits in the 2nd half too. A very quick fall from grace for Kentucky.

They probably make the second weekend if Noel doesn't go down. They were really playing well at the time of the injury.

If Wiggins goes to Kentucky, he'll give them a complete starting five of the top ranked prospects at every position, plus a sixth top-10 overall wing, a seventh 5-star, top-30 overall C, and another 4-star PF.

Insanity...

If they keep Wiltjer (rumors to Gonzaga or Oregon), Poythress (possible early entry) and Harrow, then they'll likely be a preseason top-5 team next year. I think Cal runs off both Goodwin and Cauley-Stein to the pros.

If they get Wiggins they'll definitely be a top 5 team (they were top 3 this year :lol) in the preseason.

Do you really think Cal is gonna run off Cauley-Stein? I figure he'd want some experience and Cauley-Stein gives them a legit 7 footer.

I've heard some things about selfishness. He promoted himself all year as a likely one-n-done, and Cal might feel any return would be to audition at the expense of team. Same with Goodwin.

7-footers in college are overrated. They would have Randle (6-9, 240), D.Johnson (6-10, 240), and Lee (6-10, 205), all freshmen, but all five-star bigs who can play PF and C, and possibly Wiltjer, whom I'd keep over Cauley-Stein for experience, skillset, and mentality.

Does that class compete at all with Davis+Gilchrist+Teague while retaining Terrence Jones? I mean Davis seemed like a pretty rare prospect. You think Wiggins is as good?

Wiggins is a better talent, and a far superior prospect, but Davis was a perfect college player.

Randle is widely compared to a prime Amare, Wiggins to McGrady. Add four or five other 5-star prospects to that and look out.

I loved Kidd-Gilchrist as a college player. Had he stayed all four years he would have been an All-Timer. Same with Davis.

I think it does assuming they get Wiggins, certainly just going by talent. At least according to scout, Kentucky got the best recruit at every position (literally as in the best PG, best SG, best SF, best PF, and best C in this class), while they additionally get two more 5 star guys. It's the best recruiting class of all time if they get Wiggins.

I know more than a few who think the Harrison twins could be the undercut of it all. They look out for each other first and foremost, which sucks since they are the PG and SG. That said, they are talented.

Wiggins and Randle are just on a different level, though.

Article on ESPN insider saying that UK may have 9 first round picks on their roster next year...(assuming they get Wiggins and a few people stay)

Holy fuck, batman

That's assuming too much. Did they mention whom they have returning?

If all return:

PG: Harrison (5*), Harrow (5*)
SG: Goodwin (5*), Harrison (5*)
SF: Wiggins (5*), Poythress (5*)
PF: Randle (5*), Lee (5*), Wiltjer (4*)
C: Cauley-Stein (4*), Johnson (5*)

Plus they have a 4* PF coming in as well.

I doubt this happens. Not enough touches or shots.

Goodwin gone, Poythress and Cauley-Stein return.

If they keep Wiltjer, even without Wiggins that's a top-5 team.

Not sure Wiltjer stays.
