View Full Version : Heat: This team is going to have a dominating postseason run
TIMMYtoZO

As long as they are healthy. I honestly see a 16-1 or even an undefeated postseason. They are going to really impose their will on teams in the postseason and they will be going for the kill when they smell blood in the water. They have all the tools to make this happen...dominating/best superstar in the league, best sidekick, a scoring bigman, reliable roleplayers, great D, championship experience, and a killer instinct which arrived in game 5 of last years finals. I have been saying this for weeks that Miami could be the most dominating team we have seen since the 2001 Lakers. Now I am telling you that is going to happen as long as they are in solid health.

You are probably right, BUT what if they peaked a bit too early and an injury occurs? If you have been watching their games closely, you will know that they trail usually going into the 2nd half even to the worst team in the NBA aka Pistons. Something to think about.

History as we know it happening right before our eyes. As far as the playoffs, it depends what happens the rest of the way and who makes out the West. If they break the record they could be coasting through first two rounds. Lets be real tho, the east will be a cakewalk. If the Thunder make to the finals then the whole way to the championship would be... :lol

16-0 ain't gonna be realistic imho, even as stacked as we are. shit will be a cruise walk for us most likely, but we'll still lose some games (0 to 2 games each series, at most) through the process because the league won't want the game to end too soon tbh.

Spurs in 99 a decent Minny team, a TOUGH and loaded LA team! Mad talent! Portland very talented and knocked off the Utah team who went to the last two finals! Strike shortened or not the Spurs record 12 wins in a row and 15-2 was a crazy ass run and hot at the right time! I will never forget that run, dominant.

Honestly it'd be pretty neat to see Miami win out the regular season + playoffs, or beat the regular season streak record and go 16-0 in the postseason (which no team has ever done).
Last season's finals was fairly called, and Miami won pretty handily. It wouldn't surprise me to see Miami sweet OKC. I mean, I wouldn't count on it. I wouldn't bet on it, but it wouldn't totally surprise me. I think the loss of Harden really does hurt them that much, even if Harden kind of shit the bed in the Finals last year.
Robz4000
03-25-2013, 03:07 AM
Unless the Heat lose to the Spurs, which is looking more and more unlikely the closer we get to it, they'll win out and prolly sweep the East unless they meet Boston. If they happen to see OKC in the Finals they'll sweep them too.
TIMMYtoZO
04-14-2013, 06:27 PM
:lol The Heat have won 35 of their last 37 games (This just makes me giddy for what lies ahead for the playoffs). The 3 Kings are back in sync and have 2 more games to shape up for next weekend. This team is on a mission not only repeat as champs, but to make history while doing it. This team has no reason NOT to go 16-0 in the postseason as long as they are healthy. They have been the superior team all season even prior to all these injuries to other teams. Miami is just on another level.
HarlemHeat37
04-14-2013, 06:41 PM
They coast too much to go 16-0 IMO..
I know they're determined and focused this year, but I can't imagine them not coasting during a game or 2 in the playoffs..
They will sweep Milwaukee, sweep Brooklyn, lose 1 to the Knicks and 1 to OKC IMO..
They will lose a few and it will not be because of "coasting."

I disagree. This team is different. When they go up 2-0 this time around, the series is a lock to end in a sweep. They will smell blood and impose their will. Miami will play even better when they go on the road and are in position to break a teams spirit.

Miami lost game one last year. You just can't help your premature ejaculation at all, can you?
We're laughing at the "dominating postseason run" son. It clearly already isn't, after losing 4 games on the leastern conference and game 1 of the finals. Don't be so insecure.

:lol You are so desperate to see Miami fail. After the Heat win on Monday, things will finally be back to normal. I know how badly you want to see this happen so you can throw it in my face. This is the main jab everyone has been waiting for. I can't wait to see you shitting youself when you finally realize your pg led Spurs will be nothing more than just a team that will be part of Miami's repeat.
They play on sunday you idiot. WIpe the tears off your face.:lol

:(As long as they are healthy.:depressed I honestly see a 16-1 or even an undefeated postseason.

A miracle really?
That last shot made it a 4 point game scrah. Heat would have been down regardless.
Keep spinning that shit son. :lol

:lol basketball is the only sport where making it to the championship series don't mean shit if you lose... tbh. In any other league it'd be an accomplishment. In the NBA? You've got all the LeBron's going to leave Miami talk for being.... 1/3 in the NBA fuckin' finals.

Miami lost this game at Home

But if you want to look forward to history the Heat have never won a Finals where they lost 1 home game

There was a stretch where the Spurs missed 5 three pointers in a row, they seemed impatient. Great teams would have gone up by 6-9 points at this mark. The Heat being compared to the all time legendary teams is laughable, embarassing, and an insult to us as NBA fans.

LeBron is rattled. No one on his team other than Miller knows how to score. Reminds me of the Cleveland series honestly.
It's baffling how he hesitates to shoot those jumpers considering how much space he has. Isn't it possible that he didn't really improve that much when it comes to jumpshooting? Maybe he was just very selective with his jumpers in the regular season that caused his inflated his percentages from beyond the painted area.
