That fast break blocked shot that led to a 3 was just brutal.

He has to be farsighted or something.

That play lost the game. We'd be up 7; Green can't finish and he still try and ALWYS miss. Fucking dumb

We lost the game when Pop put Green in for Jack tbh

Maybe he needs to look for the 3 pointer in transition.

Green should never be going for a layup much less in that situation.

I only want him ready for getting an open 3.

I rather he cost us a game now than later on, tbh

Every time Green drives to the rim and misses, a puppy is shot, please end this mindless slaughter.

Man, Danny and Kawhi both cost us this game. Poor play from both of them down the stretch. A really bad loss.

That lost the game? Lol awesome. Wasnt the terrible offense nor getting bullied around in the paint for second chance points?

Making that basket will very likely have sealed the game for the Spurs... it was the difference between being up 7 and being up 2... that's despite any other problems the team had.

It's not a good vote of confidence for Danny if people are wishing that he shoot a 3 in transition rather than a breakaway shot at the rim.

GMAFB so Danny Green is the reason we lost because someone came in from his blindside and blocked his shot :lmao

wow

So now he has to anticipate guys flying in from behind? Sweet.

If this would've been the first time Danny Green tries to drive to the basket and it ends with a A) shot blocked B) offensive foul or C) turnover, then this thread probably doesn't exist.

Danny doesn't need people to make excuses for him, he just needs to get better finishing his drives, which being that he's young and all, he can certainly do. I'm certainly looking forward to seeing his progression on that aspect of his game, hopefully next season.

This loss wasn't even that big of a deal, IMO.

He definitely knew who was there and had two teammates to play with too... you can watch the play as many times as you want on NBA.com

Saw it once. That's enough. I stand by Danny green isn't the scape goat y'all want him to be.

Green absolutely sucks at finishing at the rim. But...Kawhi is at fault for that screw up as well. He had TP running on the other side of that fastbreak and instead gave it up to Green...:td

It's no scapegoating... it's simply pointing out Danny needs to know his current limitations finishing... I want Danny only to get better, but I understand players take time to develop. Last season, Tiago had all sorts of trouble with freebies and he worked on it. Danny needs to work on handles and finishing.

Forget about one game. Green misses easy layups all the time, game after game. Layups are the first offensive shot that every schoolboy learns. They are so routine for most players that the "layup line" before games uses layups just to loosen up the players, not to give them practice on shooting the shot.

Maybe Chip, the shooting coach, should start working with Green to teach him how to shoot layups. I think it must be a pyscho problem.

Well Danny is not the only one who misses easy ones. And to pin this game on him is plain dumb, especially the way he played defensively. Kawhi, Splitter, Diaw and Jax been missing easy ones like it's an epidemic.

Now the contagion has progressed to Manu and Duncan. Spurs playing like shit these last few games tbh. Thankfully their defensive intensity has saved some games. But they won't last long in the playoffs playing like this.

How in hell can Danny Green be a starter in the NBA when the guy can't make a layup to save his life? There are a ton of 7th graders on their middle school 'B' team who can make 100 of 100 layups to DG's 1 or 2 of 100. Hell, there are little 8 year olds out there playing in their backyard or driveway making 90 out of 100 layups. Can someone in the Spurs organization hire a personal shooting coach just for DG and make him make 1000 layups each day before he can leave practice. Or better yet give me 1/2 of DG's salary and I'll make the layups for him. Sheeeeeshhh, something so damn simple and to DG it is like trying to understand 16 blackboards full of equations on how the universe works in the sub-atomic world of particle physics.

And come to think about it, I have cows who shit fresh green cow patties onto a spot who are more accurate than DG. C'mon Dannyboy....get with it...!@
