HIPPA VIOLATION!

I used to work for a hospital, so I was thinking the same thing. :lol (has to do with patient confidentiality, for those scratching their heads).

It is not just hospitals, It has to due with employee privacy as well. Most companies with over 15 employees have to adhere to HIPPA. For example an employee does not have to give you a reason for taking a personal day, they just call and say "I will not be at work today."

hmmm thanks for the heads up. Next time I won't have to use that fake cough or call immediately when I wake up (it's a trick I learned since when you wake up your voice is all scatchy and sickly) :lol

yea seriously you can, they have been on our ass about it for about a year now at my company. I hate it, it makes the work place so much less personal.Because you are technically not supposed to announce Births, things about your family etc... Ever since we started adhering to the guidlines our news letters have sucked. Nobody ever has anything to put in them.
