Another day, another playoff team to knock off. Life's not easy at the top, but that doesn't mean things are complicated. Spurs girl holds the sign, and Spurs win. Spurs win, and Spurs girl holds the sign.

There is a--possibly apocryphal--story, about an interaction that took place after an eminent scientist gave a lecture on the heliocentric nature of the solar system. Afterwards, an old woman chastised the scientist, ridiculing the idea that the earth orbited the sun, which orbited a much larger collection of stars called the Milky Way. It was her view that, in fact, the earth was a flat plate which rested upon the back of a turtle, which rested upon the back of a second, and that it was turtles all the way down. Setting aside for a second the question of this woman's likely senility, I would like to suggest that, instead of turtles, it's Spurs girl all the way down.

The player the Spurs will place in the path of that runaway freight train is a 21-year-old they call “Why-Why” who still lives with his mother.

“I don’t think nothing of it, really,” said Kawhi Leonard, the second-year small forward coach Gregg Popovich has designated his “stopper-in-training.” “It’s how I’ve been playing my whole life, guarding the best player on the other team.”

Anybody like our chances more without Manu playing? I'm talking the recent version of Manu. I'd rather have no Manu at all than TOSB version. The Heat force enough turnovers as it is.

I find it unlikely but I would like to see the Spurs go all out this game. If they want any chance at the title, I want to see how they match up against Miami tonight. Would be better if Manu wasn't hurt once again.

WTF? What's the line of reasoning for sitting them? The didn't play yesterday, and don't play tomorrow. Seems like a weird move, but I guess because it's not a nationally televised game, and they actually traveled with the team, they won't face a quarter of a million dollar fine. Hypothetically speaking, let's say the Spurs and Heat end up with the same record, who would get HCA in the Finals? Is the tiebreaker the conference record? If it is, the Heat are basically up three games. I guess they have nothing to gain from this game.

6) Better winning percentage against teams eligible for playoffs in opposite conference (including teams that finished the regular season tied for a playoff position).

Robz4000
03-31-2013, 05:23 PM
what is the second tiebreaker?

Heat need to lose 4 more Conference games while the Spurs win out against the West to take the second tiebreaker. So basically Spurs need to go undefeated and hope Miami loses two more games after tonight.

Put a foot on their throat early and blow them out, Firstly I don't want them getting the moral vicotory we got when we rested our starters and still almost one, secondly a blowout will allow us to rest the starters in the fourth so we don't have to pull starters tomorrow against the Grizz which is a game we need as well.

Spurs would be down by 15 if Lebron and Wade were playing

if spurs played their big 3 in the first meeting we would have won by 75 tbh

Nando is currently faster than Parker, with the court vision of Manu. I hope Parker gets better quick, otherwise Spurs won't have a shot to go far in the playoffs.

Parker is leaving his feet for passes like he has all season, except his speed isn't creating the separation it was in the past due to him being one step off...causing a lot of tough passes and turn overs.

Anniversary gift ruined, 700.00 wasted. Thanks for nothing, pay back hurts the fans. You boys looked just fine at Hooters last night."
