Spurs playcalling has been bland and its been on display in the past 6 games where all the games have been decided in the final possession
Spurs run 2 plays consistently in close games
the Manu cut to the basket seen in the Golden State game
a play where someone catches it in the high post and a big sets a screen at the top of they key to free a elbow 3 point shooter
Parker/Ginobili dribble baseline and throw it to the corner to a 3 point shooter is used but way less frequently and not in close situations as much

then the other 3 signature "plays"
Duncan: mid range shot off a pick and pop or pindown screen - most used
Parker: crossover left dribble pullup heroshot - brick
Ginobili- Turnover
trips overhimself and gifts other team a layup
stepback airball 3

the first 3 the Spurs have been running forever and are easily scouted
and the 3 have been horrible go to isolations the Spurs have been failing with
it looks like theyll live and die with Duncans mid range shot to win a title tbh
hes the only thing theyve gone to consistently thats at least produced buckets

Tony's decision not to dish to wide open Bonner cost us tonight. both times he opted for a shot over 2 defenders.

I thought that too when I saw Bonner open, but given Bonner's high-choke factor, I can't really blame TP for going on his own. Pop can be pissed off at TP all he wants, but it's his fault that this team continues to waste a roster spot on a red-headed choker, whose only discernible skill (3-pt shooting) is compromised by his own mental weaknesses.

not passing to Bonner was a good decision
i knew as soon as the play was called he wouldnt pass it to him
would rather have seen Boris setting the screen
would have even taken my chances on Blair shooting a pick and pop and setting a good screen
