Daddy:::I've told the story many times twixt here at the Sun's Board, but, I'll do it again in honor of this evening:::After ringing Vs. Indiana I of course was extremely thrilled. I still remember moving to get out of the Lazy Boy when I saw Daddy in the immediate aftermath as he searched for his people behind the restraining ropes. The look on his face. The anquish, the unrelenting stress. I just leaned on back. A sobering moment. They (Media) was comin' for him. Gonna do him dirt. Rub his nose in his own makings. Kobe still had time, but, Shaq was out of it. I cringe at thought of what they had in store for him.
They'd destroyed West & Chamberlain. But, they didn't destroy Daddy. No fuckin' way.

It will be good to see Shaq getting some appreciation from the LAL fans. All the Shaq vs Kobe bullshit has marred his accomplishments there to such an insane degree. I cringed when I saw the interview with Stephen A a few weeks ago and he asked how his relationship with Dwight is. I didnt stay up to watch Inside the NBA so Im not sure if this was played...but Shaq tweeted a video he made thanking his supporters.Much of it he duplicated in his speech last night, but he thanked his team-mates here including Kobe.
