I pointed this out during Shaq's jersey retirement ceremony last night. Lakers brass somehow screwed up the jersey, putting the last name and number on the FRONT of the jersey. It's not the end of the world, but how does this happen? On a jersey that's the size of a billboard no less :lol.

Lakers vice president of public relations John Black told Ball Don't Lie on Wednesday that the reversed recognition "was an error and will be corrected as soon as we can get a new jersey for the wall made up." Black said the team hoped to have the replacement jersey ready "in about a week, but [it] could be a couple of weeks."

What it should look like..

I pointed this out as well to my friend who is a Laker fan, he was in denial and said that they meant to have the v-neck like that so you can see that it was the modern jersey... The kid is stupidly stubborn, he's one of those fans that would probably switch his favorite team to wherever Kobe went.

Laker Shraq needs to be given his due.
Not everyone could bowl completely set defenders over and lay the ball in.

Yeah, this was all over the news the other day. I don't get how you mess up on the 1 thing you have to do right. Makes me wonder about the people behind closed doors and how seriously they take their jobs.

Word on the street is they did it backwards as a statement: "Shaq turned his back on us."

All I know is that they better get it right when they retire DJ Mbenga's jersey number.

Does seem inconceivable that it wasn't intentional.

How did Shaq turn his back on the Lakers? He wanted to stay

Regardless, they chose wisely. Kobe is livin' still & we got 1 more than Daddy got.

Given the laundry list of mistakes so far that Jimmy won't admit to I predict that they'll just change the name of the team to the L.A. O'Neal.

I just think it is funny that there is a possibility that Dr. Buss got in one more Shaq tweak…:lol

Only a fucking idiot Suns fan would think that way. You could have been untouchable, undisputed. All day you could have sat there and just watched the talk about the 2nd best teams that decade. Instead, you're content with the Pau Supremacy as a sign the Lakers made the right choice in letting Shaq walk.

Quite the opposite actually. It shows the Lakers don't know their heads from their asses.

This was no mistake. No way in hell could this have been unintentional. Jim Buss punk'd Shaq. :lol

Was the season also intentional? Did Jim Buss punk Howard?

Would've been better if Jerry Buss punked Shaq from the grave ?:lol

The entire jersey looks shitty. The v look is fugly. They need to make another one and fix the error and also stay away from the v look.

The whole ceremony was vulgar. Why Daddy debased himself like that is beyond me. Christ, act like somebody.
