Jeff McDonald @JMcDonald_SAEN (https://twitter.com/JMcDonald_SAEN) 11s (https://twitter.com/JMcDonald_SAEN/status/321305289028677632) Spurs already listing Tony Parker as probable for Wednesday in Denver. So sounds like he'll play.
hope he is fine, I'd prefer him to rest more than to limb during a whole game not giving anything to the team

Jeff McDonald @JMcDonald_SAEN (https://twitter.com/JMcDonald_SAEN) 12s (https://twitter.com/JMcDonald_SAEN/status/321307996238016512) Parker decides he's not probable after all. Will work out tomorrow, then decide about Denver.
Jeff McDonald @JMcDonald_SAEN (https://twitter.com/JMcDonald_SAEN) 1m (https://twitter.com/JMcDonald_SAEN/status/321310459812777986) Parker will be listed as questionable, officially, for Denver. Boris Diaw (sore back) is out for Denver, day-to-day after that.

What is game shape when you are hobbling around the court?
Just rest him for 2 weeks IMO..
I'm also on the idea of resting him til the playoffs start, why the hell not? He's hobbled by a plethora of things, the main seems to be exhaustion.

I thought for sure he'd be out if not the remainder of the reg season than this week at least. Going from probable to questionable just like that is a little odd. I wonder if they're waiting to see whether OKC can win in Utah tomorrow or not...

Sit him out until the Laker game. Rest the key guys for Golden State. Let whoever needs it play against Minnesota (I wouldn't play Tim/Kawhi in the final game).

I guess he wants to try to find a rhythm or see if he can play through it, look for Pop to limit his minutes if he looks like he's tanking.

Parker on his radio show confirmed that these injuries were nothing serious. He still has an hematoma on the bone of his ankle but he doesn't sounded too worried by it. Parker also said that Ginobili's goal was to come back a couple of games before the playoffs to be in rhythm for the first round.

Orgasmic. But we're seeing the rigging on levels reaching 2002 Game 6 Kings vs WWE.

That's probably what worries me the most about seeing them in the playoffs... The amount of help they'll get. Really pulling for Utah

Sorry but Parker has made a career of calling his injuries, "not a big deal" and "I'll be allright"
time for Pop to put his foot down. Can't believe Parker was even trotting out there vs OKC, looking like a limp noodle and didn't have the balls to tell Pop, "I need to sit"
goddam we have some stubborn fools in the team. From Pop to Manu thinking he's still in his 20s to Parker thinking if he can walk, he's good to play :rolleyes

Tony needs to sit or play very limited Min. He is telling everyone his ankle is still fucked on top of other nagging problems, yet he wants to play in rather meaningless games before the playoffs.. Who cares about a 1 seed if Tony is limping all over the place..

I'm disturbed by Skip Bayless's "sources" that tell him Parker's ankle won't heal until the off season.

The bone bruise that a sprained ankle causes will continue to be there through the playoffs. It should get better with time and playing on it isn't really going to cause it to get worse. His ligaments should be close to healed but a bone bruise could take longer to heal. It might cause some discomfort but if he just has a bruise it isn't anything serious as long as his ligaments are healed from the sprain.

I see he hasn't posted anything since April 6th about it, but he didn't say he was wrong, either. If he is right, we will have Parker this postseason, but he'll be a shadow of his normal self, probably, without his burst.
We'll see, but hopefully he's wrong. Bayless is a bit of a Spurs homer, though, so I don't imagine he would just make shit up.

Yes, but will he be the Parker we know and love or will he be lacking his burst and unable to get any penetration?
If so, Manu becomes ever so more important since he's the only other player on the team (aside from maybe Nando) that has shown the ability to drive and dish to our shooters.

Skip mentioned it in the "Who will win the West's #1 Seed" video which I think was recorded yesterday or Sunday. So, while he might not know anything new, he hasn't learned anything about TP's ankle that changed his mind. Hope he's wrong.

I'd imagine that if it's his ankle that's keeping him from being himself, he should start to regain his form game by game. Like I said, if it is just the bone bruise that's bothering him, like he's been saying, than it will continue to get better each game he plays. It shouldn't get worse. That's the bright spot I guess. Hopefully by the 2nd and 3rd round the bruise will be painless.

They would certainly have a decent shot.
With a healthy team, we have a decent shot against OKC in the WCF. Dare I say I would feel we would have the upper hand? Without a healthy team, though, we'll be fortunate just to make the WCF and may get knocked out in the second round. We should make it past the first round, though.

Good to see Parker is on the right track. I'd take his words over Skip Bayless' source's guess. If Manu can get one reg season game in, we should be OK. I don't think a 100% Manu will be a necessity in the first round. With a healthy TP we should be able to beat the Lakers/Jazz/Rockets/Warriors. As long as Manu can handle spot up duty with the occasional assist, that would be plenty for a first round matchup. By round 2 he should be fine. Hopefully, if anything, his time off got his head out of that funk he was in

Meh just let them all rest, Duncan included. The first seed isn't worth the injury risk. Spurs will get a harder 1st round opponent in the rockets but their second round will most likely be against Denver, who are suffering injuries as well. Gallinari is already out for the rest of the season. And if they make it to the WCF, HCA didn't work against the Thunder last year so maybe switching things up would be a good thing this year. The pressure will be on the Thunder to win their first two games. If the Spurs can steal one of the games, they should gain some confidence for the rest of the series.
The only real argument against resting is that the Spurs' chemistry is extremely off, both offensively and defensively. They might need some more games at full roster to get their shit together. The series against the Rockets will be hard and the Spurs actually have a small chance of losing the series if they still play like complete crap. But at least Houston has a small travel time and help the Spurs recover faster.

Without knowing how serious his injuries are it wouldn't hurt to play him. It'd just be strictly from being paranoid, and if that's the case then Tim, Kawhi, Splitter, etc... all shouldn't play either. All reports were it was nothing serious. I don't think him playing even limited minutes hurts anything, if he's able to play. He's already missed a good amount of games this year. If he sits out and is extremely rusty, some folks will get on Pop for resting him.
If he's healthy, let him play some and get his rhythm & confidence & even his legs back. Manu is different cause we haven't been as reliant on him, so he can be a little rusty and it wont' disrupt the flow of things too much.

Well, with OKC's loss the other night, we actually have a one-game lead in the loss column, so if we do have something to play for, tbh. We win out, we get the #1 seed. Even if we lose one, if OKC loses one, too, we still get the #1 seed. OKC's loss really helps us.

This is what I would do. Maybe let them all play together in the finale against MIN. Only if they can ALL play. So they can get used to eachother a little bit again. If only a few can play then forget it. Can't build momentum that way anyway.
