They are 17th in the NBA in FTAs, how many will they shoot tonight, tbh?..

Huge game for Utah tonight, huge.
Lets see what the league, I mean Lakers, do.

Double their average, at least.

it's not like the warriors are gonna need refs' help to beat utah tbh.

11-0 Warriors in FTAs at the half..

:lmao

HarlemHeat37

11-0, though, tbh?..really?..

They couldn't even get a defensive 3 FTA?..

ambchang
04-07-2013, 08:17 PM
Not enough yet. The second half will be epic. Expect the warriors to get a 30 to 5 advantage, then jazz shooting all these fts during garbage time to make the final 30 to 14

HarlemHeat37
04-07-2013, 08:20 PM
13-0 now:lol..

Agreed with ambchang about Utah receiving stat-padding FTAs to end the game..

Man, if the Jazz manage to pull this one out with this reffing, it'll be amazing, tbh...

Robz4000

The league should just come right out and give the Lakers the 8th seed tbh. Would save their refs the effort and would ensure they get that extra revenue. Either way it's obvious how fixed the NBA has become.

Jazz shoot their first Free Throws of the game with 4 minutes left in the 3rd.

8 fouls apiece. charging GS meaningless fouls, charging Utah shooting fouls

8 at the half .....GS can still take this game. Fingers crossed.

Barring any insanity, Okc should beat Utah, meaning as long as we take this back to back with NO and POR we are in good shape.

For now, let's just hope GS saves us tonight.

Obviously you haven't read the forums. OKC has agreed to tank games to eliminate the Lakers. It is something that the other 29 owners agreed upon.. Keep up to date with whats being said in the forums please.. Remember the Lakers are the center of all teams universe and all teams will win or lose according to how it hurts or helps the lakers.. Thank you

What's likely to happen is Utah choking this lead they had throughout and Curry injuring his ankle in the last play, ensuring a win for the Lakeshow when they play Golden State next week...

I don't think I've ever watched a game where Gordon Hayward played well, tbh..

Every time I watch him, he plays horribly, tbh..maybe I should stop watching Jazz games when I'm cheering for them..

Utah's clutch time offense is embarrassing, tbh..

They should just run shit through Jefferson and Millsap rather than their shitty perimeter players..Williams, Foye and Hayward shoot be relegated to spot-up shooting in clutch time..

OKC is a sure loss for Utah, IMO... that's not that big of a deal, seeing the Lakeshow will likely lose 2-3 before the season is over...

Tonight's win was major for Utah.. especially on the road

Games like this are the only reason I still continue to watch the NBA. Despite the fact that refs can control games between two closely matched teams, one team can always overcome ref bias by just playing/shooting of of their mind.

true. i've said before, the league may not be rigged WWE style, but you have to have your head in your ass to not see the favorable treatments for the moneymakers. just follow the money.....

there's still something spontaneous and unpredictable to the game, not even Stern and his people could control that. but it's about overcoming a stacked hand.

props to the Mormons btw for the win.

Magic number for Jazz is 4 total wins or Lakers Losses.

Jazz go 2-2 and Lakers go 3-2, they are golden.

Latarian Milton
04-07-2013, 09:51 PM
guess warriors lost this on purpose imho. they did a magnificent job trolling the lakers. refs have tried everything to prevent the jazz from winning this but the warriors still managed to lose the game regardless. i hope other teams will follow the warriors, tank each & every games vs. utah or mavs while giving lakers the toughest fights possible, just to send a message to stern and his retinue, stating our opposition against games manipulation tbh.

The game is impossible to outright rigg, but extremely easy to highly influence with a call / no call be it a foul, travel, 3 seconds, etc.

Calls are missed both ways all the time, but when the majority of those missed calls over the years favor one team more than any other, it definitely raises eyebrows.

Yeah, honestly if you could clearly and coherently define "questionable foul call in favor/against team X" or "questionable no call in favor/against team X" and you did a statistical analysis of such calls over the years, I wouldn't be surprised if the difference in reffing was statistically significant (i.e. likely not due to random chance) in favor of certain teams.

Latarian Milton
04-07-2013, 10:14 PM
agree, the refs can make bad calls every now and then, but when the sample size is big enough, you'll realize it's not just a rare case imho.

ambchang
04-08-2013, 10:58 AM
Expect the Warriors to be fined for tanking .... better yet, expect the Jazz to be fined for winning the game, essentially acting against the best interest of the league and not providing the paying the customers with what they want in the playoffs.

BTW, I will have to bump the earlier thread I had on tracking the FTAs of Warriors, Jazz, Lakers and Rockets (along with their opponents) when I have time. Very entertaining stats.
