Seriously?
You are very dumb. China doesn't want this runaway whackjob in their backyard. Cold War is over. They are gonna take us down economically.

Seriously, if fat boy doesn't ratchet down the rhetoric in the next two weeks I expect to see him killed in a military coup orchestrated by the Chinese.
That shit is bad for bizness.

china won't fight on behalf of neither side, nor will the US or anyone else. it's gonna be a real korean war where only picklebreaths will be involved. north korea used to be a buffer between liberty and communism, but chinks no longer need it since they've already developed a good relation with south korea. chinks have sent troops near the korean border but that's nothing more than some normal reaction from a neutral country imho. they just wanna secure the border and prevent any refugees infiltrating their country, in the event a war truly breaks out on the korean peninsula
it's for damn sure chinks wont want no conflict with the US, but they're not yet ready to fuck with the anti-US world either. chinks could just cut off food supply to north korean and the northern picklebreaths will all starve to death within a few months, but that would be seen as a betrayal by their mid-eastern allies, which would hurt their rep bad in the anti-US sphere

No doubt....this has all been very calculated by Lil Kim...I have to think that there is some pressure from the Chinese not to test a mid or long range ICBM at this time, but Lil Kim has backed himself into a dangerous corner....and given the intelligence we are getting from N Korea, you have to believe that the crazy bastard is gonna launch...

NK has launched missiles before. In fact, everything that has been done during this "crisis" has been done before. They've even taken prisoners, killed American soldiers and shelled ROK civilian cities. None of it led to dan's longed-for Armageddon.
China doesn't want to put up with this shit, and it certainly doesn't want to further destabilize the situation. The start of any kind of hostilities in NK means thousands if not millions of North Korean refugees fleeing to China. I don't know what Mandarin is for "fuck that noise" but I'm sure that's what the Chinese leadership is saying.

That's not what I wrote... as can clearly be seen in my original posts.
China is not "backing" DPRK's ridiculous threats, but they have done just about nothing to indicate that they are going to put their economic relationship with DPRK at risk. Their economic relationship includes trade with and aid to DPRK.

In the scheme of things the DPRK is probably a red state....a taker...so it's not so much, economics why China might support the DPRK but strategic....

There is most certainly a larger strategic reason -- in the sense of a battle for influence and power in the region -- for China to support DPRK, but the economic one is quite critical.

Yes, North Koreans. They buy China's oil and consumer goods -- about $250M worth per month.

china trades more with South Korea than the North...
China’s commerce with North Korea is tiny compared to its commerce with South Korea. The $1.3 billion in two-way trade between China and North Korea in the first three months of 2013 compares to $63.3 billion between China and South Korea, according to Chinese customs figures.
North Korea’s gross domestic product is about one-fortieth that of South Korea’s. Its trade volume with China in the first quarter of this year represented about 0.1 percent of China’s total trade, Zheng said.

Irrelevant.
They want to trade with anyone and everyone they can, and that includes North Korea.

The whole war in Korea was fought because General McArthur was a fucking idiot. Dumbass didn't take the Chines seriously when they said to stay the fuck away from the Yalu. Don't they teach history anymore to you young heathens?
As someone whose lived too many years in South Korea, I think this is just more rusty saber rattling. Meet the new Boss, just a younger shithead version of the Old Boss...which can be scary but then you remember this guy invited Dennis Rodman and his father wanted to talk to Bill Clinton for an ego/prisoner exchange
The NK leader has too good of a life to throw it away and he probably hooks up his friends with plenty of Swedish prostitutes so why nuke?

Let the old soldier fade away dammit ;)
Would it be wrong to say he was like the Patton of the Korean War

Interesting observation.
I would say no.
#1, Patton got shut down.
#2 He was really on target that the time was ripe to knock out Russia while we had the resources there and they were vulnerable. /endcoldwarbeforeitstarts
