View Full Version : Lakers: Magic Says Lakers Will Beat Spurs in the 1st Round

Just said it on NBA Countdown. IF it were to happen, what do you guys think are the realistic possibilities? I think Spurs win in 5, maybe 6, even w/o Manu.

(Also, I still think OKC finishes first in the West cause Pop will rest our starters the last 2 games of the season).

Spurs win in 5

1) nothing wrong with him saying that
2) the matchup won't happen so no need to get an aneurism about it
3) this is the same faggot that sayd "my lakers are done, put a fork in them" just a few weeks ago :lmao

If it were to happen, the possibility is 100 percent.

He's right tbh. If the Lakers hold on to the 8th seed and the Spurs continue to play like dog shit but somehow end up remaining 1st, the Lakers will win in 6. However, the chances of both happening are small.

I really hope Portland takes a massive dump on the Lakers tonight just so I can hear Magic's reaction. Literally for no other reason but that. I think Lakers lose to the Spurs and Rox anyway, and possibly to the Warriors, and they'll miss the playoffs. But I want them to lose tonight so Magic can look like a fool after the game

Enough about the gotdamn Lakers. Magic needs to divert the discussion to the more relevant teams.

Reck

Same guy that also rode Spurs dick last year saying they were going to win it all guaranteed. :lol

Basically this year's Spurs team is identical to last year, with Leonard improved. What makes him think a buttom feeder that may or may not get into the playoffs can beat the same team as last year?

IF lakers somehow beat the spurs in the first round, spurs would be nailed on the pillar of shame as the only team to have been upset twice as the #1 seed imho

Magic needs to worry about his gay, Kenan Thompson son taking a virulent load in the ass.

as for his prediction, unless Stern already privately confided to him that's the plan, which I wouldn't doubt, then Spurs can take Lakers.

Both teams are playing terrible basketball right now and have key injuries.

A toss-up series, so Magic isn't necessarily being a dipshit homer with his take.

I will say no but say it's possible that the Lakers could beat the Thunder in the first round. I wouldn't trust the Thunder in the playoffs this year. They have major letdown written all over them. I could definitely see a first round disappointment in their future.

Spurs would win in 6, but it's not even going to happen. No way they hold onto the number one seed, even if the Lakers get in.

Latarian Milton
04-10-2013, 11:12 PM
spurs have been resting so it's nothing beyond our expectation that they've lost some games the past week or something, wihle the lakers have been fighting their asses off for a playoff spot yet still playing like shit. there's such a possibility but i'd still put money on them spurs anyday over the lakers tbh

If three first names can somehow integrate Gasol as a more prominent part of the offense, I would reluctantly have to say that it is possible, especially with how crap the Spurs have been playing lately.

That said, I will say Spurs in 7, even with the Lakers having 25 more FTA in that game.

We will then see substantial sanctions on the Spurs for not looking out for the league's best interest by winning the game.

Fuck, it was a dream that Artest would go there, act like somebody and "help" Kobe like he vowed he would.

Artest went there, acted like somebody and helped Kobe just like he said he would.

Ask Pierce if that was a dream.

They'd talked us out of it year-after-year. Finally Magic shows up and they went after him. Had him down in the Summer of '84....you know like 7, or even an 8,,,,Hell a 9 count. Then he had an epiphany, a vision:::West, Wilt, et al in the corner, cryin', real fuckin' tears like "The Colonel" at the end of "Boogie Nights." He sat bolt straight up, like Arnold in "The Terminator" outside the Techno Bar, grabbed some jacks & timbers, like in "Big Bad John" and started back down like "Reeves" in "Superman" before he split the uprights on that fuckin' horse. Ran 'em to ground (like McVeigh in OKC) on 9 June 1985, it was a Sunday in Lakewood, Ohio and Pappy cried, real fuckin' tears like when we went down 13 in the 3rd on 17 June 2010 and my Luva admonished me such:::"Nobody closes us out, Cully. Nobody."

I thought Bill Russell sounded a lot like a current Lakers Star (Can't think of his name).

My guys played great for me.I told them I don’t care what happens, you are a great bunch of guys but they came through for me. Its not about the team its all about me.

Red Auerbach Congratulating Jerry West…I don recall that cigar chomping fat man ever saying something nice about an opposing player or team.

C'mon, this laker team is a shell of itself from a few years ago. It's hard to see that when you're a fan, just like it's hard for spurs fans to see their team decline. Just take a step back for a minute.

Never denied such. I'm the only one who cast Howard down when we went sniffin'. People called me everything but a white man over it. I was proven correct. We have no championship talent after Kobe & Artest. The remainder is fraidy cats and ne'er do wells. Nash quit in Dallas and couldn't finish twice here in Phoenix.

You do not walk away from a catastrophic loss like that of Odom without paying for it, again & again & again. Loitering losers like Howard & Paul at the expense of the people who brung you must be answered for. We're in the process of answering for that right now.
