I'll give that faggot Lebron the top spot right now, but Kobe is the 2nd best player in the NBA. He's the best big game player in the NBA and he's still the most feared player in the NBA.

Pau is playing at the elite level we expect from him.

Dwight's playing the 3rd banana role to perfection.

:lol Spurs are clearly tanking to avoid their daddy and Thunder don't want it with us either.

So alot of you have recognized the obvious which is that we are now in the contender conversation nationally and globally (I heard a report on the BBC today about the Lakers achievements making the playoffs) so with that, alot of you have also recognized that Coach Mike's defensive schemes for OKC are pretty flawless when our offense is clicking and we shut down Durant and make Fisher and WestBRICK beat you. So yeah, not too worried about the conference finals but what about the cHeat?

I mean they are the defending champions and also playing very good/well so I look at the matchups and obviously they are not horrible for us because we have Pau and DH12 down low and they have Birdman who sux. So why is everyone so scared? Kobe v. Lebron is equal and then we dominate down low. Pretty simple calculation.

Kind of like how a girlfriend gives her soon-to-be ex-boyfriend a kiss on the cheek after she breaks his heart. Stern and the Lakers have had a long and intense relationship over his tenure, with him unconditionally loving and faithfully devoted. Now that he's about to break up with the Lakers and move on, he'll gift them one last game before his departure. It'll be his "kiss on the cheek."

The fact everyone has them pegged as a first round/non-playoff team means he can't go too far with carrying them. A good thing can only go so far before things get too suspicious.

For the people that keep citing stats on the Lakers record this season, do you not realize that this is a different Lakers team that is getting it together?

The Lakers are 25-13 in their last 38. Considering they have been the most injured team in the NBA it's even more impressive. If you extrapolate that record, they would have been the 3rd or 4th seed in the West.

What was the excuse with the Grizzlies?BTW diddn't you bet on last night's game? How did that go?

Teams get hot.

No, I bet on the series. I had a feeling Miami would lose last night though. They pretty much always start slow in their series, then play hard when their backs are against the wall.

Miami in 6, maybe 5.

A Lakers team with a healthy Kirby and Nash this year was never going to be possible, with how old both players are.....

Golden State with a healthy team is pretty damned impressive. Curry is going to be a top 3 PG in the league next year and a top 10 player.

they were never going to get Bogut in the first place, if he was ever healthy. Not to mention, they are better when Lee is injured.

I'm not impressed, they rely on fluke shots and we stumbled on them when they were hot and we were still finding our rhythm, not to mention they are a matchup nightmare for us in a same way the Pacers are to the Heat.

Fluke shots? Yes, they were hot, but you make it sound like they're typically bad shooters who were just streaky, a la Warriors in 07 vs. the Mavs.

Curry shot 46% from three this year. Forty. Six. Percent. Dude doesn't make fluke shots, he's a shooter. Same with Klay. They can both light it up, and we're lucky Pop changed the defense to give us more traction.

Curry is legit, i dont think Klay is anything more than a great spot up shooter (great technique though) and those aren't hard to shut down but as long as they got Lee they won't have very good defense and Curry's ankles are a big question mark.

I'm not saying they're bad, far from it, but i just don't see them being more than a 2nd round fodder, especially now with Mike Malone gone.

He's right, the Lakers team the Spurs faced is obviously was not the same one that we saw after all-star break. Spurs fans can think of it how they want to make it seem like the Spurs were accomplishing much beating a seriously depleted Lakers.

They lost their real coach to Sacramento and will likely be losing Jack and Landry in free agency.... their starting five is solid, but their depth will take a hit and Mark Jackass will get exposed without Malone there to draw up the plays and do the actual coaching for him, tbh....

Who is your top 3?

If Parker keeps up this sensational level of play, it would be most likely:

1. Parker
2. Paul
3. Curry

I mean, Curry dropped 44 and 11 dimes on us. That's fucking obscene. If he keeps improving he's going to quickly become impossible to guard.

Yeah they'll really have to work free agency to make a deep run next year, but it's possible.
