If we were healthy like last year I'd say yes. With our current injuries I just don't see it.

If the team was healthy and LeBron had a fatal groin injury, then maybe.

We have little to no shot the way we are playing. Spurs actually blew the golden opportunity last year. If the season ended about 30 games earlier this year, we'd have looked like the best team in the NBA. But the extra games this year have revealed the Spurs to be an injury-riddled team that appears to be running out of gas at the finish line.

That said, we are in a bad position because this team will likely win 50 games next year and not be good enough for the title and yet miss out on the Andrew Wiggins/Jabari Parker sweepstakes.

The guy who I have the least confidence in about winning a championship is Pop. I don't think he has a clue how to.

Nope.

But I'm still gonna root for my team and expect the best out of them.

Not just a fatal injury... a fatal groin injury.

Lmao at this thread.

The spurs chopper is already smoking. It got hit by machine guns as it was taking off saigon. Mission aborted. Well be lucky if we can make it back to base alive. :lmao

15 games ago I'd have siad we're a good shot, now I doubt it - injuries have killed the chemistry and we're in real trouble.

However, I have seen this team turn it around in a short space of time before, so we're still an outside shot to make the WCFs, and if we get there hold on to your hats...

I always think we can do it. Championship runs rarely go smoothly or as planned.

Well, first, let's win the first round, then if we do, try to win the second round, then if we do, try to win four more games in the WCF, then if.....

Why isn't there a 'possibly' option? That's my answer.

The chips would have to fall perfectly for them to win it all. Duncan would have play close to vintage-Duncan ball, Parker would have to go back to being the MVP candidate he was at the beginning of the season, Manu would have to go back to being one of the best 6th man to ever play, Kawhi would have to make a name for himself in the playoffs and solidify himself as a star, and Tiago would have to play like he is worth 10 mil a year. That isn't even getting into guys like Neal, Green, Bonner, Blair, De Colo who all would have to hold their weight. Highly unlikely all that happens. I think WCF is a realistic ceiling for this team, but wouldn't be shocked (surprised, but not shocked) if they made it to the Finals and won a game or two. They are not beating Miami barring injuries. You are delusional if you think they can.

I always think we can do it. Championship runs rarely go smoothly or as planned.

In 2007, I thought there was no way the Spurs could win it.

They couldn't beat Dallas. Period.

Then Dallas loses in the 1st round and the seas parted for the Spurs.

Less likely that happens this year with both Miami and OKC looming like roadblocks. But it's certainly not impossible.

Also the Cavs upset the Pistons to give us the Spurs their weakest Finals opponent other than the Knicks in '99.
