Had to think a bit to figure out who some of those guys were. Roy Hinson on the Cavs and Jay Vincent on the Mavs. That dude is in jail now. And of course Doug Moe, one of the craziest coaches ever.

Best thing about Roy Hinson was that the Cavs traded him to Philadelphia for the first pick in the '86 draft, which turned out to be Brad Daugherty.
BTW, pretty sure the kid @ :50 is wearing a Member's Only jacket. Classic '80s look.

Of course I have a soft spot for the 80s but the 2013 spot you chose was pretty good too, tbh

Oh man forgot about that one! Does anyone know who the Laker is in the first one who is smiling and pointing?
One thing that stands out about that to me is how involved and enthusiastic the people in the lower sections were. They're all standing, cheering, laughing, and really getting into the game.
Nowadays, unless its a major playoff game, it seems like the lower sections can't be troubled to stop sitting on their hands. They pay huge amounts for these amazing tickets, show up late, then sit there and act disinterested throughout the game.

That was back when real fans could afford to go to the games and get good seats. I wasn't a Spurs fan until Robinson came, but I've heard a lot of stories about how nuts the Hemisfair was back in the day.

Hemisfair could get crazy loud, but there were plenty of times the crowd was bad too. I remember many times sneaking down to empty courtside seats at the beginning of or early in the fourth quarter.

Pretty sure none of those enthusiastic crowds were at the Coliseum. I went to a Cavs-Clippers game in Richfield back in January of '87 (night before the Browns-Broncos Drive game, actually) and there were probably about 5,000 people there, most of them disguised as empty seats.
