:lmao at your contradiction. Fact: Pop hid Duncan from Shaq in the first 3 quarters. Then he'd put Duncan on him during the time Shaq is the opposite of dominant: 4th quarters and crunch time due to the threat of hack-a-Shaq. Otherwise, Duncan is in foul trouble early and often, then the Spurs are blown out on the regular.

I call BS re: Bowen signing. Had Kobe not killed the Spurs, y'all wouldn't have signed Bowen. You're being dishonest if you say otherwise.

The Cavs didn't bother signing Bowen to guard TP because they knew you guys wouldn't be waiting for them in '08. Repeat after me, the Spurs don't repeat. :lol

We all know that if Kobe didn't rape SA, Bowen would have stayed in South Beach. It is not a coincidence. Your in denial son. :lol

Can you read? I said nothing about Duncan guarding Shaq. I was talking about the idea behind the J. O'Neal signing would be that it would force Phil Jackson into a "pick your poison" scenario. Either stay with Horry on Duncan (or double Duncan, which is something PJax never liked to do), which is a matchup the Spurs want every time, while Shaq is pulled out of the paint to guard the other O'Neal, resulting in a wide open lane for Parker penetration. Or put Shaq on Duncan and risk tiring him out/getting in foul trouble.

And lol at saying Shaq wasn't dominant in the 4th. I JUST posted an article that proved with hard stats that Shaq was the most dominant 4th quarter player on the 3 peat Lakers. What will it take to get it through your thick skull that Shaq was a strong 4th quarter player and for you to dismiss the completely retarded myth that the Lakers didn't go to him in crunch time? How many more fuckin' play-by-plays do I need to post?

Yeah, the Spurs would've never signed Bowen otherwise. It's not like Sean Elliott just retired or anything, and they would have been completely content going forward with him as their SF. He probably would've played great defense on Kobe from the ESPN announce booth. :lmao

Are you really this stupid? Really?

mid maaaaaaaaadd again. I know what you meant. Kind of pisses you off to be baited, huh? You do it all the time because you like to get a rise out of Laker fans on this board. The tide is turning. :lol

Anyway, we'll agree to disagree about why Bowen became a Spur. I have my opinions based on game facts, and you have yours based on :downspin: shit. :lol

No you don't. And I'm not sure what that even means. Because a good perimeter player had a big series against some of the worst perimeter defenders in the league (Ferry, Porter, half-dead Sean Elliott) the Spurs wouldn't address that weakness that not only would benefit them against the Lakers, but every team that featured a good perimeter scorer? Again, Kobe could've torn his Achilles before the '01 series, and Bowen would still be a Spur.

Sure Kobe was on the FO's mind with the Bowen pick up (so were other top perimeter players), but he becomes a Spur regardless because they had no starting SF after Elliott hung 'em up. What the fuck were they supposed to do? Roll out Danny Ferry's corpse and hope for the best?

Do visual facts count? If so...

For some reason, I can't find game 5 on Bing or Google. :lol

After Kobe raped dem Spurs, they wasted no time: Jul 29, 2001 (http://basketball.realgm.com/player/Bruce-Bowen/Summary/270) - Bruce Bowen signed a multi-year contract with the San Antonio Spurs.
Like I said, Kobe closed out the Alamodome and is the sole reason why BLB became a Spur. Neal with it son. :downspin:

good pics....i see you are trying to get into the booty sig game. it's a crowded field around here, but as long as it's good, the more the merrier.

btw, as an assman, i think ass implants are much worse than breast implants. FDA should outlaw that shit tbh. i think the girls in your pics are legit though.

I'm an ass addict myself...so for me it puts a little smile on my face everytime I post.

Who's suffering? Am I sad to see my favorite Laker go out like that? Yes, I am. But I'm hardly suffering. I know that the likelihood of us surpassing Boston in rangs is still high. Why? Because the Lakers always get stars. Always. Mikan. Wilt. KAJ. Magic. Shaq. Kobe. Pau. Howard. Then they'll get ring chasers that want a taste of LA nigh life - i mean an opportunity to play with the stars in LA - and a good chance to win a rang. We know it'll happen again. It's just a matter of time and opportunity...

...meanwhile in the 210, when TD goes to the glue factory, so will your chances of ever winning a rang again.

Bottom line: there will be life in LA after Kobe. The more things change, the more they stay the same. :lol

And that boring ol Tim Duncan took his no star gettin, no perks, over the hill free agent signing team, and turned two 29th and 58th pick euros into stars while winning 4 rings going through Shaq and Kobe twice to get there.

Despite all those first class perks, first class stars, first class free agent signings, and playing with Shaq for 8 years, Kobe only has one more ring than Duncan to show for it.

Consider yourself lucky that:

1) PJ wasn't our coach in '99 - the year after MJ retired - and you won your first rang*
2) We traded EJ, EC, and NVE before PJ came aboard

Otherwise TD has no ringsPERIOD. Shaq, Kobe, Horry, Fox, NVE, EJ, EC, and Fisher would have won at least 5 rangs straight. Real talk.

* 50-game strike shortened season

Here's the lineup you'd be looking at trying to defend:

NVE
Kobe
Fox
Horry
Shaq

it would have been unfair tbh.

DPG, which of these do not belong? You only get one shot Doc, make it a good one ...

Kobe, Shaq, Duncan, MJ, Bird, Magic and Robert Horry ....

If you cant figure that one out you arent the huckleberry I thought you were ...

Point is you can't qualify, because if you do, you start counting finals MVP's, overall MVP's and those players on that list that won MVP and Finals MVP in the same year...Who's not on that list?

:lol killakobe went ghost mode after DPG posted him up and treated him like Shaq used to treat Eduardo Najera.

Payton and Malone were TOSBs. Payton in particular was a round peg being asked to fit in a triangle hole - literally. Bad comparison. The 1998-1999 Lakers were all young. I think the oldest player was Jon Barry (scrub) - who was like 28.

Considering what PJ did when we were only two deep, it's reasonable to think he would have won more if the Lakers didn't jettison most of their talent that was supporting Shaq/Kobe. Case in point, no way in hell should that 2000 Blazers' squad (who was too deep) should have lost to the Lakers. But they did. It wouldn't have gone 6 if the Lakers had EJ/EC instead of Rice tbh let along having NVE - who was more talented than Fish.

Watch the 4th qtr for that bread n butter rigged reffing. Culminating with Steve Smith the 90% ft shooter getting mugged right in front of Laker ref for the would be clinching free throws.
