They have Knicks, Nuggets, and Clippers ahead of them...meh ESPN power rankings are irrelevant but it's crazy to see how the Spurs are not being given any credit.

All that planning. All those efforts to try to ensure that the Big Three are healthy come playoff time, and look at 'em now. Amid six straight Ls on the road -- unheard of in the Tim Duncan era -- Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili aren't near 100 percent and Stephen Jackson was waived without warning.

Those teams have been playing better lately than the Spurs, though.... the Knicks are 9-1 in their last 10, the Nuggets are 7-3, the Clippers are 6-4 (but have won five straight) while the Spurs are 5-5, tbh....

I would take the Spurs in a series over all those teams right now except Nuggets, tbh

Yeah, but the power rankings aren't based on who would win in a series, otherwise, Miami might as well be the only team ranked, tbh... it's about "what have you done for me lately".... that being said, they are a load of meaningless bullshit, tbh...

Spurs lost 20 games in a row or something like that, nothing wrong with the rankings.

If anything the Spurs are too high. If this is how they're going to look in the playoffs they're out in round one regardless of who they play.

They're saying on the ESPN Boards that Jackson was fired because he placed a turd on Pop's office desk.

The way the Spurs are playing, I am surprised they finished top 15, tbh.

Sounds about right. I might even put 'em at 7 or 8.

spurs made the smokescreen to anasthetize their potential opponents imho, and ESPN just did spurs a damn favor helping them build up the whole scam.

I think when it's all said and done...tanking and dodging teams that you feel might upset you in a series is the reason Pops legacy has to and will take a hit...none of the great coaches in the history of the game plays around with the integrity of it like the Spurs do...they tank, run and hide from teams, rest their players by faking injuries and just doing a ton of borderline non ethical things. Real head coaches don't duck and hide...this is come back to haunt the SPurs

Worked out well for Avery Johnson. He can go to his grave knowing he was a "real head coach" even though his hubris lead to the most embarrassing moment in Dallas Mavericks history. '
