I know the loss sucked last night, but are you serious? This guy's almost 37 years old. We take him for granted cause we're used to it, but he's incredible tbh. He's almost single handedly keeping us relevant right now. I curse the day Tim Duncan retires.

The day TD retires is the day we go back into the lottery or very close to it.

The move TD puts on Howard at the 2:05 minute mark of the bottom video, reminds me of Hakeem v. DRob circa 1995 playoffs. Seriously, who else is doing that in today's NBA?

It's Tim Duncan's fault we suck. If he would have stopped showing off and been a little more mediocre, maybe the team would have surrounded him with better players.
lol
Yo, I love what Tony and Manu brought, but hey, Shaq had motherfucking Kobe Bryant...as a sidekick. Like...how the fuck did they get Shaq AND Kobe? Shit was crazy.

Yup, tbh..
Duncan in a big market in an attractive location gets at least 6 rings, in addition to shedding the undeserved "boring" label and receiving an abundance of hype..

:lol Howard

Somewhere out there, there better be a tall, athletic kid idolizing Tim Duncan, working on his post moves, working on his jump shot, working on his passing, and working on his defense. There will never be another Tim Duncan, but people should at least attempt to emulate him. Why doesn't that happen more often? How many guys tried to emulate Jordan? It's the ultimate sign of respect. Tim deserves more than anyone else.

Love Timmy. He's the only player that hasn't given up on the team. Can't say the same for the French POS or the overpaid Argie.

How about y'all trade Tim Duncan to OKC for Perkins since the Spurs are dismantling their team anyways. If you really love Timmy, you'll let him go and be free to win to a ring before he retires; if you can't stomach the thought of it, just imagine that it would prevent the Heat from getting another ring.

First of all, delete your account.
Secondly... actually, delete your account again
Third, I don't think average Spurfan has a burning hatred for Miami like Kobefan and Methfan

Tim's high level of play at the end of this apparently hopeless, wasted season demonstrates his ultimate, impeccable professionalism and dedication to the game.

Tim Duncan is the Earth that all of these other Spur churches are built upon.

He is an institution, unlike all the other faggy church threads about other Spurs.
Unlike pretty much every spursfan here, I was watching Duncan all the way back from 1994 and 1995 when he and Childress were kicking ass at Wake. I knew after his soph year that he would be a #1 pick when he came out and an NBA great. Saved basketball in San Antonio obviously, dunno what city you'd be in right now but it wouldn't be here. Kept Knicks and Nets from ringing, as well as Nash, sadly. Saved the Admiral's legacy from being a choker. Credit to Pop for starting the games and minutes restrictions all those years ago, otherwise you figure he'd be retired long ago. Won't catch Kareem, and probably not Wilt/Russell either, but GOAT PF is fair.
